Im really liking what I’m seeing so far. Just wondering what’s all inside of there and how it could be made better.

How is the barrel secured to the action? Grub screws, tensioned sleeve, threaded into action?

The barrel is threaded into the action, not something you see very often, I'm sure that eventually Travis will come out with all kinds of little ad ons to tune the guns, he has done that with a bunch of platform he has to be even more motivated this time around.

Watching with great interest! I have a ton of .22 pellets and slugs and only .25 airguns in the herd now. That unregulated lady in a .22 checks most all my wants, and being retired now, even fits the budget nicely. A big shout out to all you testers/enablers for helping make sure these air rifles will be shooters out of the box when I get mine. When will we be able to throw down coin for one of these?  (BTW, can't be Paypal, they are on my unacceptable vendor list again  )

Would be nice to keep track of all the changes made from the ones tested to the ones that hit the market. I am not saying changes are going to affect the buyer's market, but it would be nice to know if things are changed from what is tested. Why did you guys change the barrels if you do not mind me asking? Im sure it was to make them better.

IMO these rifles are NOT monster power makers and knowing for most slug shooting purposes you want a BIG POWER PCP to get them shooting fast enough to really be beneficial.  Leaving you to realize these are PELLET RIFLES and suited as such to shoot pellets !!  Said .. most pellet rifles do better overall with choked barrels.

BOTH the provided MAX's in .22 and .25 have a choked barrel.

With only 220cc of air on board and an 18" barrel on the standard I'd imagine to shoot slugs at decent power you'd be limited to a single mag of shots to be really consistent. Maybe a mag plus a few.

I know the gun can be filled to 240 BAR but to keep variables constant for now I'm filling to 200 BAR and using Benjamin pellets.

So from shot 2 to shot 11 you have a pretty good -/+ 50 FPE gun

Add a little hammer weight and it will wake up further. 
I took the .25 max back to @ 140 bar leaving in the @13 gram hammer weight. It cruses along with HST cap flush with back of receiver at @ 890 fps which is really the speed a JSB king seems happiest at.

As per suggested by Troy and Scott I backed the Hammerspring all the way out on the MAX,.....trying to make it into a 30 FPE gun.

with the 28gr Benjamin I got strings in the 640-650 fps so 26 FPE   tomorrow I'll turn the spring in a bit and start testing with the JSB, looking to be in the -/+ 750 fps.
