Random lame guess is just sit back and wait for it to happen like I mentioned earlier. I figure if AA raised their prices the way
they did, at some point JSB finally will and you'll see their pricing rise to like numbers.

Now that's a depressing thought.  JSB 22 heavies seem to be consistently out of stock.  Supply and demand would dictate that prices go up.  Good thing I haven't done much shooting in the last couple of years so I still have some!

My old state, IL, had a law that considered airguns of bigger caliber than .18 to be classified as a firearm. That would drive demand for .177 and kill demand for .22, both in guns and ammo. Michigan has something similar.

That would explain increase in expense for .177 compared to .22, independent of lead cost.

COVID impacts it too. Less people working = less miners, less employees at JSB, less truckers, etc. Less supply = higher demand = higher price.

Speaking of increased demand, airgunning can be a good solitary hobby; very COVID-friendly.

Short answer:  cast your own.

Long answer: don't forget to check with Trenier; and it never hurts to slug your barrel, order up some NSAs, and see if your airgun fling slugs.  My 1322 Rear-Cocker pumper actually shoots the .217 NSAs excellent, an come CO2-season, I'll be testing with my 2400KT.

Final note: I ordered a bunch of FX pellets from Krale Schietsport since nobody here in the US had what I was looking for.  In other words, look abroad.  Shipping is not prohibitive.
