At these shorter distances she shoots fine with the pellets. Tight as ever actually.
Itīs the groups with the slugs that opened up.

Choke on these Artemis/Stormriders are a tad different vs what iīve seen previously. Ie; not all that much of it but for a longer stretch of the barrel.
On the Hatsan BT with the LW barrel i "de-choked" i just plain cut like a number of millimeters off the end of it on the lathe and then turned a brass plug that about fit the barrel that i put on the chuck of the lathe and added valve grinding compound.
That thing shoots slugs since you wonīt believe.
Difference vs this Artemis is that thereīs less choking going on but for about double the stretch vs the Hatsan (approx). Will i de-choke it? Most likely.
De-choke though is not the same as remove entirely (see above). But i bet the gun would turn accurate on slugs again if i removed some of it no doubt, even at elevated speeds.

On that note though, first thingīs first and that is to port the thing out further. Point of diminishing returns..

Perhaps there is still too much choke and the slugs are slamming into it at such high speed. 

What diameter do the slugs actually measure?  Something else may be going on.  If you can shoot one or two into a deep bucket of water to capture them with minimal damage, looking at the rifling engagement on the slug may tell you something useful.  Sure, only half the shank length will still be close to parallel, but that may be enough to provide a clue.

It is possible that those slugs at that tune, are simply off an accuracy node.  That shooting them 30 FPS faster or slower might be better.

If the pellets are shooting faster than the slugs, then it is surprising that they are shooting well.  Although 20 yards is not far, it is far enough to show that increased muzzle blast is not what is buffeting your slugs - because pellets are more sensitive to it.

What i thought iīd do is take the shroud off the thing and see what happens.
"De-choking" the barrel ainīt the end of the world need be though and in my experience the little you lose for pellets is worth it. Of course a matter of if the intended future diet is slugs or pellets mainly.

As stated though, going to tear deeper into it and port it out for starters too.

Btw. No. Itīs the other way around. The slug go faster than the pellets current. Pellets in these things, the skirt of them shrouds the opening in the barrel ever so slightly. Have looked into it and a deeper pellet probe wonīt suffice. Needs a bit more involved work to make that go away.

That old lit Tasco 4-16*40 simply didnīt cut it at low light conditions outside the shop. Got replaced by a chinese rip off, but truth be told FOR an improvement!
40mm vs 50mm front lens at low light, no comparsion. In turn the rip off is of decent Q rendering that.. itīs a head on good scope no matter.

Mark. Rats is the name of the game alright, but where the shopīs at thereīs still ambient street light and what not right. The Impact of mine sports an ATN though, which of course make for a difference, but seeing the ambient light this little Artemis at least tries to hold its own now with that fresh glass ontop.
