Just thought that I need a alu frame for a gun, now it turned to guns and at least three frames, or four will be made.

One side done.

Mocking the part on Badger just to see if the overall dimensions are sound.
Not ment for this rifle but I think it could end up on it.

Yes and no, only ar grip is used, I hate the imperial thread on the buffer tube systems. And to be honest, all the buffer tube furniture looks the same.
Some 35-50L of chips from two frames.

A lot, and alot of time consuming to mill the contours with ball endmill. Roughing amd finishing about 4h per side. I need to optimize the code some if I'm making more of them.

Top is still blank, they will be machined one for tube and one for my Anschutz 22LR when time permitting.

The picture service that I use to post is down, need to find something else to post pictures.

Frame is semi done, I inlet one B class frame that have machining defects for the Badger to test out the frame and components.
I'll post some pictures when the service is ok again or I'll find a better free photo service / host.
Any suggestions on that?

Do they need to be certain size? My pictures are 4-12mb

4-12 may be a little big. I do all mine from my phone and it asks what size I want to use. I just pick from the options. My pictures are already on my phone so…

I can make file size smaller too by taking a picture farther away then cropping it. That’s the way I used to do it.

very cool.. im trying to figure out how you made the buttstock.. I Know the design is 2 piece , or maybe its 3 piece ? still havent figure it out\.. looks like the stem section ( 27mm round ) is oxidized.. yet , the back end is not.. leads me to think its 2 well blended pieces.

Yea it's two parts, 30mm round with dovetail ish fitting secured with a center bolt.
Just about seamless fitting, you'll see it if you know it's two separate parts.

Made a bag rider on the stock for bench rest shooting. Get a better tracking of the rifle through out the shot.
