I've shot a 97 with a RH stock that belongs to Bartthefart. It wasn't too bad and handled very well in my hands. I've never shot a LH stock gun before, but maybe I should just let you be spoiled with it, so I don't want one too!

I got a HW97 .20 new a while ago, and I don't shoot it much because of the buzz-twang. It needs a tune. I'm sure after that it'll be a sweet gun... but I'm having trouble dropping another $150/$200 into a gun that already was my most expensive purchase (ok, a few others have come really close...).
I'm jealous of that experience mark!
