Scott...I put a weaker trigger return spring in. Just enough to make the trigger return. That, combined with the other things I did has cut that pull weight nearly in half. I don't have a tested so I can't confirm that but I compared it to Betty Lou's unmodded trigger pull. And it's much smoother too. I found one long enough to cut in half so I could do Betty Lou's too but, as luck would have it, one of them sproinged off into the abyss of the work bench... I heard it hit the ceiling and the wall, then it was gone. Betty Lou likes a heavier trigger but, I'll find it.I didn't cut the decocking knob off... I don't mind not having that feature. I did polish and lube it so it don't drag.
Still gotta chrony my 397SOne observation: the hammer seems to bounce a good bit......really hums after firing. Is that typical?
That actually saved me money on new Williams peeps.
have you tried to pump past 8 yet? WOW, that's a workout. It says 3 to 10... I'm good with 4 or 5.
Just had to go for it once... 8 was all I wanted. I could see my shoulder coming apart. I don't have $30k around for another one.
Paul, what pellets are you using?
