Hey Frank,You can buy 1/4" black plastic sheeting on amazon for $20 and make butt pad spacers to shim it out to desired length.
re: LGV weight: I was really apprehensive about the weight of the LGV before pulling the trigger on a deal. At the time, it was by far the heaviest airgun I had used. Sure enough, when first picking the LGV from the box, it felt like made of bricks. BUT: After spending a little time with the gun, I came accustomed to the heft. The LGV has a very short barrel, with most of the mass in the receiver, which makes it feel lighter than it actually is, pointed at the target. Now I have two other springers that weigh as much as or more than the LGV. 4.2 kg has become the new normal for me, and it did not take years - only a dozen shooting sessions or so. Out of all my airguns, the LGV is most likely to stay with me till the bitter end. It is simply excellent, not just heavy.
I would highly recommend a trigger tune too, having the trigger fire crisply is a big part of accuracy....Weihrauch guns don't really need a tune for the average shooter, but if you want a sublime shooter a complete tune transforms the gun.
Frank, are you still bothered by the size? It seems to me from ur pix you shoot it well?
