Gun boxes

Do you guys keep all your gun boxes or do you toss them?  Talking about the cardboard boxes.

For sure keep. Inner (gun box) and outer (shipping box). Break em' down if taking up too much room,.. but save em'.

yes, i have every one.  in fact, i removed the optics from all my guns and they are now in those boxes waiting our move.

Yes, much to my wife's chagrin.  You need the box it came if you decide to sell it.

I keep inner and outer gun boxes as well as scope boxes.  I built a loft in my garage specifically for "overflow storage".

Yup,... scopes too. The nicer scopes have some pretty nice product specific packaging. Paperwork? Always helpful in a re-sale situation.

In this hobby ... you keep everything as "They" may need to be sold - to fund newer, more expensive toys.
If you take care of components, they can be sold again .... at very little loss. 
I started with a $150 Hatsan: The Addiction has progressed way up to a RAW HM1000x .

Much packaging and selling in-between .

Yep, yep, and yep.  Keep em all.  I even think I have the blister packs some of my scopes and pistols came in.

I didn't throw any away... I shipped other guns that I sold in them that didn't have boxes. Some I used to double box other shipped guns. Most of the guns I have I bought used and didn't come in original boxes.

I don’t have whatever package my 1377 came in back in 1986. I threw boxes away back then.

Not everyone has the real estate to stash big cardboard boxes by the dozen. I have kept my (inner / retail) gun boxes, to ship the guns I sell in. Just keeping those stretches my home storage capacity to the max. I have no way to keep the nondescript, much bigger outer boxes. Come selling time and the need for double boxing, I raid the cardboard recycling bin & cut and tape together what I need.

This is so true. My youngest daughter's house is small with very little storage.  To me it's a waste of space to store the boxes  BUT I know that sooner or later I WILL need them later so I found a place to store them out of the way. I store all of mine in the attic.

Thankfully my father has a large attic...lol. From top to bottom:
-Gun boxes
-Extra scope boxes...yes, they have scopes in them
-Empty scope boxes...got a few more in my room
-Bag of PA pellet foam even...lol

Doesn't include the shelves in my room loaded with gun stuff and pellets or the parts and tool box on the basement work bench.

No space to keep them.  All of my guns are in cases anyway.
If I need to sell, or send somewhere, I make a new one.  No big deal just cardboard.

I’m looking at a 1978 third model Crosman 1400, on line, with the original box and owner’s manual.  The seller is asking $250.  I’m tempted. The box and the manual are worth at least $75 in this deal.  Think about that.  The box is worth more than the gun sold for new!
