Sightron SIH 4-12x40mm Field Target $125
« on: April 07, 2021, 12:56:20 AM »
DVOR has the Sightron SIH 4-12x40mm Field Target Riflescope with the MOA reticle on sale for $125.

https://www.dvor.com/sightron-si-series-4-12x40mm-riflescope.html

Iíve had a few of these. Decent glass for the price. Fairly light weight at 17.3 oz. Focuses down to 8 yards.  Adjustable objective up front (not my favorite). Hard Air Magazine article suggests it is springer rated:

Be warned DVOR takes forever to ship and also has a very poor return policy and only offer store credit without refund. There are horror stories with folks receiving used scopes with ring marks that DVOR refused to accept returns on too. Credit card witha very good disputes department is your best friend.
I bought from them and the order took 7 weeks. Optics Planet their sister company is almost as bad when it comes to dilly-dally nonchalant shipping delays.
Buy from DVOR knowing this only if the price is a super good deal and you know for sure it's exactly what you want b4 ordering and waiting a long time to receive it.

I've ordered half a dozen scopes from them although it was close to 2 years ago, had them in 2 weeks or less and they all came in Optics Planet boxes. I figured while Dvor is basically their overstock site, everything they're discounting comes straight from Optics Planet, not from Dvor themselves. Been reading lots of stories lately on the beyond lousy service from the people at Optics Planet.

Nowadays, can't honestly say since it's been that 2 years since I bought anything.

That was actually a decent deal for that scope. I have one that I like very much.
Picked one up a couple of years from Manventures on closeout for $105 It has their Hunter Holdover Reticle and pink Aluminum  turret caps and AO ring. That is currently living on a "Stainless" 10/22
full stock.
Tried buying another last fall but everybody was either out of stock or priced way too high.
Found one at Global Ordinance for $159 or so. Six weeks later I had to remind them that I spent a couple grand on ammo with them the past year before they saw fit to respond to my inquiries about the order.
Promptly refunded after that.
Guess the point I am trying make is that it is good scope from a great company for not a lot of bucks.
Hammers vs Sightron for $50-75 more?

Hammers are Chinese likely made by the Tac Vector manufacturer and the cheaper Sightrins are Filipino likely similar to the older affordable pre Chinese Vortex and older Bushnell Legends.
