Groups of 3 usually, especially when I'm in the grove and it's looking good, otherwise I'll get nervous and mess things up. After all, most of us would like to know what the rifle is capable of first, then secondly what we are capable of.  If it's the former sometimes you quit before the latter messes things up

I shot this 5 shot group at 30 yards this morning with my scoped HW50S after some warm up shots.  Like someone else said, I stopped when I was ahead, put the 50S up, and shot some spoons with my red dot 30S.

  I am a collector not a shooter.  When I read show "groups" I thougt it meant you guy's group of GTA member friends.  I really enjoy the community vibe -------great to be part of a group of AGs ---that help each other with their AG issues.  I have learned so many things from reading other peoples posts and sometimes I have posted asking for help and someone has always assisted me. 

This posting has motivated me to go shot a group with one of my vintage spring air pistol, shakey hands, and blurred eyesight then post it.  At 10 ft shooting a silver dollar group is great for me.  One of the post mentioned that an old springer versus PCPs for target shooting is not fair comparison or

Greetings. I decided to add a photo of my last target from a BSA R-10SE at 50yds. 10 shot groups (50 total before it fell off the new huma reg I installed) with H&N 21gr pellets. I also just purchased a used (new to me) Air Arms S510 non-regulated airgun. So far my only trip to the range resulted in 1-1.5 in groups @ 50yd with JTS 18s, and H&N 21gr pellets. Is there a magic pellet for this rifle?

Thank you, but I'm trying to find a pellet that works in the AA510s. So far only fair results with H&N 15's, 18"s & 21gr pellets. I just bought some FX 16gr pellets on a recomendation. I understand these are the same(basically) as the JBS?

They are.

Try some Air Arms pellets too.

We have been told and shown on video of the JSB plant that FX pellets are indeed the same. Even MonkeyDaddy who works for Predator International say's so... just rebranded in different tins.
 But that said,  every tin of FX 16g seem to shoot better for me than the JSB 15.89.

Sometimes I shoot a good set.  5 shots, 10 meters, offhand, straight from the tin, fwb 300s.

That's some pretty good shooting.   In my clubs old-guy 10M rifle league, you'd win first place if you shoot like that consistently.

That's my problem, I can't do it consistently but that is what keeps me at it otherwise I might get bored.

Yessir, you never hear offhand shooters complain about the boredom of easily shooting tiny one hole groups all the time.

I don't shoot at paper very often. I prefer plinking at stuff.

This is from a warm days working out in the yard, and, the result of a cool down break that Sarge brought out to me (she who must be obeyed).
This is my new backyard long shot that was the result of removing 6 large trees (Eucalyptus, fwiw). It is out to 130' from the patio. It is backed by several cords of firewood, two courses wide, and a minimum of 5' tall, x 20' long; and behind that is a sharply rising "hill" that climbs from our apprx. elevation of 900' to 1900' at its peak. Its hard to fly a pellet out over the target and not stick anything but immediate steep hillside.

img0349 is my target for this effort. The first shot cracked the stick, the second shot split it.
I shoot at a pellet trap surround that is a solid 5/16" steel plate that deflects the pellets into a trash bin. It is behind the white square in the distance (white crafters foam board)

This is one of my "hand-drawn" targets that I doodle out onto a 9" paper plate. I did this one last night for a scope zeroing this afternoon.
I like to mix it up with things like the blue tape squares; 1" tape cut into squares that I place a dot on with a felt pen. The blue tape helps ID impact locations better than just the white backdrop, at distance.
I divide the plate into quads, and then go from there. I pick one quadrant to zero in, and then go around the clock blasting out black dots. Once those are blasted out, I start into the popsicle sticks, and this time, I even have a McDonalds halloween scary eyeball to shoot out (scary eyeball printed on a ping pong ball)

Got a 10m range all set up in the Barn, utilizing an old entertainment centre to hold a target trap but also provides tunes and storage. Testing various pellets I have in bulk out of an older Crosman NVD with a See All sight (gen2) installed. The top, mid and lower centre were used for sight in and fouling...
