Then I ran a variety of pellets through each of them. I narrowed it down to 14.6gr H&N FTT for the .22 and 7.4gr Crosman pointed pellets for the .177. Here’s the result.First photo is the Crosman pointed pellets at thirty yards. The black spot is approximately 1/2” in diameterSecond photo is the FTT from thirty yardsLooking good there!

With the recent talk of those Piranha pellets, I got thinking to try them in another gun, one that I've had a love/hate relationship with... The Hatsan 135 springer .177. With ~24ftlbs of actual muzzle energy, this gun is a bit on the stout side, especially for a 177 springer. But it's been sitting for a while and I figured to give it one more go, and I've tried almost every other 10.5gr+ pellet out there, but didn't recall using Piranha's. They're thumb-busting tight in the leade, but actually shot better than anything else I've tried Here's a 5 shot group at 25 yards and a photo of the gun.(It's a 3" shoot-n-c sticker, was "lightly used" previously and didn't want to waste it, so I covered the hole at the top, Lol)
Deeco and Tom,Thanks for the kind words. That Hatsan 135 is a beast of a springer, I'll have to see if I can get repeatable results or if today I just got lucky. That gun shoots 10.5gr pellets way too fast for my liking, not certain how far they can remain stable. We'll see how things go as I stretch the range

Seemed like we talked that gun up once on them heavy gamo rabbit magnum pellets to tryThing os the piranha are far more economical everyday Walmart 😉.Ps.... Its not that im kind just honest and call it as i see it ....lol. / really Most hated.

I was hoping the price would drop some before I gave them a try. Locally I haven't seen them available, if they were I'd probably be more willing to buy a tin. H&N has the rabbit magnums (I knew you were talking about the Gamo's), never had them shoot well in anything yet, but don't recall trying in this 135 either. I'm not certain I can even chamber those in this gun without hammering them in (tight leade/large pellet "skirt/driving band" on rabbit magnums)But you're right, these Crosman's are about half the price and (mostly) locally sourced

Especially for a .177, Mod. 135. My interest in a Hatsan just came back, I don’t own a single Hatsan rifle.
Got to try some new R-10 pellets in my Beeman Sportsman. After a good cleaning, I got this interesting group. Thats 10 rounds in a vertical line. I'm starting to think its my rest bags. They're stufffed with a metalized plastic streamer I get from my work instead of sand. Makes them light, but squishy. I might try swapping out with airsoft bbs. Also, I did shoot off some of the R-10s prior to cleaning. The groupings were closer, but still all over the place. Thats why I have the hi-vis bullseye and patches on here. Most were in the 3 inch, but I had a few strays. Still, you can see the improvement with cleaning the barrel. Guess the Beeman is one of those that just likes a clean barrel??? I then shot off another 50 or 60 at my spinners for good measure. Also got out my other springer, a Gamo Whisper Swarm in .22. Gave it a good cleaning before trying out different pellets. Shot the cemter bullseye and lower left square with H&N Baracudas, lower right woth Crosman domes, top right with Gamo hunters and top left with Gamo Magnums. It seemed to like the Baracudas and hated the crosman domes. Only ONE hit on the sheet. Its funny because it used to love the crossman domes. All in all, a good day. Was hot, but not too hot. Next to no wind, just the occasional breeze to cool off.
