I'd like to buy a pellet pen for loading .177 in my D34. Ok OK I have "fat fumbly fingers" issues...
Going to the "advanced search" page I type in "pellet pen" for the subject, nothing for the author and press to search.
What comes up is every word "pellet" I think that's been typed for some period of time.
I hate to start a new thread if I can search for old ones covering the same ground so could someone teach me a better way to search please?
Thank you as always folks.
Don

This would be my first suggestion....

In your advanced search, refine your search by marking  * Search in topic subjects only*
rather than seeing the messages with "pens" in them.

Please let us know if that doesn't help solve the problem.
Thanks!

+1 Google

This sight does have a wealth of good information, but it is sometimes difficult to find. I rarely get the results I'm looking for using the GTA site search function. It is usually something the GTA search engine couldn't correctly parse and I either get nothing or a whole bunch of unrelated hits. Don't know why, but not going to waste any more time dwelling on it.

About 98% of the time I get EXACTLY what I'm looking for using Google, sometimes slipping youtube in to the search parameters. MANY times it leads me right back to the GTA site or the old GTA archive! The right tool for the right job I guess. Discussion forum for discussion and advanced search engine for searching... works for me :)

if the search phrase is longer than one one word, put the phrase in quotes

this ==> pellet pen, will return posts with the words “pellet pe”, “pellet”, and “pen”

this==>”pellet pen” will  (har, SHOULD) only find posts with that phrase

Using Google to search will help, and google will le tyou use boolean search operators....

Thank you again everyone. So very much. The Google approach has worked well a number of times for me. Don
