I saw a squirrel running off when I walked up about 60 yards away and now I'm just sitting against the fence and waiting

lol. the one I saw in the area pictured never did pop back in to view.

I moved back to a very long pile of logs alongside the road and waited 20 minutes then saw one at 90 yards. It moved to within 70 yards and I should have shot at it, didn't.

Just hung out in the car, warm, cruising the web and glassing the logs. Very chill trip and I'll be back. Lots of activity sign at their burrows.

Sitting in your vehicle with your incredible Taipan VL at your side, glassing for GS's in a gorgeous scenic area and surfing the net....yup, you are blessed! Today was not my day, was at the dentist office getting a cracked tooth worked on, cracked it munching nachos on Friday somehow....but, I did shoot my RAW before I went in! HA! LOL!

I think the critters just got an upgrade on the senses, since I left my Texan .457 at the Range with my Friend, the Coyotes stopped coming around in the evening and night, they must sense Death is near and they are avoiding the place, they were there for months every evening and night...... now nothing ??? ??? ??? :-\, so they knew you were Death and decided to avoid you.... :o :o :o ;)

Randall,
Glad you shot the RAW before going in, I would have too! Give you something nice to think of when staring at the art on the ceiling at the dentist's office. I am sure they took good care of you and don't be afraid of the nachos, Food From God.

Kevin,
I know what you men about lack of critters, rats specifically. Here at the home PB station they are a no-show for a month. The GS are out... shot ONE, observed activity at the holes and played peek-a-boo with one for 10 minutes.

The owner's wife stopped to stare at me so I got out of my truck and I talked to her as she kept rolling up the window on her car. She's seen me for many years but just not very social. Rich and weird. I am not gonna let a rich weirdo put the Stink Eye on me and ruin it.

Thanks Johnny! Yeah, nachos are food nirvana! They put a temporary crown on as there still is a hairline fracture close to the nerve so she the dentist wants to see if it will heal by the time the permanent crown is ready to be installed....or a root canal is in order! Rich people are either normal or really WEIRD I've noticed! LOL! Yeah, don't let her stir you away from your fun.

I hope it heals and no pain while waiting for the crown!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nachos are a common breakfast for me, easy and quick so the old man isn't cranky.

Yikes, just saw this Randall! I had a root canal a couple years back, not really too bad a thing, as long as they numb you up good beforehand... ::)

Obviously you need to get some moccasins so they don't hear you coming.  At least you were out enjoying the outdoors, they'll be back!
