That's really interesting. Mine has none of that, and I was really concerned that it would need work. Gotta wonder what the variations in manufacturing tolerances for the spring guides was. I do hope it works out for you, but if it doesn't I'd probably be interested in a second one.
I was very close to Buying a sport a year ago but early testing results from Tom Gaylord and others held me back. ARH made a tighter piston seal for this gun mentioned in link below. I find it interesting that some are reporting much nicer shot cycles with less or minimal twang. Poor fitting spring guide (loose) was Identified by Tom.Did the FWB sport production evolve over time? I think it might be an idea to see if there is a range of serial numbers with worse or better shooting behavior.
