Well the boss just informed me we'll be burning branches today. Oh my aching back!!! 😫 Well I guess today is going to be a15,000 step day complete with 2-3 lbs of mud on the shoes.

Went by one of the local discount stores after breakfast and picked up another personal size folding table for the shooting deck. Now we have his and hers so she can wiggle and wobble all she wants without messing up my shots. 
When I got back I pulled the Rancher out of the atv garage and pulled the zturn in. The belt went on pretty east just by threading it around the pullies then finally pulling the tensioner pully to get the belt looped behind it. I tested it and it works just fine... no idea what kicked it off because all the bearings felt good. Maybe I didn't have it on just right after the motor swap.
The belt looked to be in really good condition.

 I have run mower decks without belt guards and had a stick go though the pully and throw the belt. Sometimes the tensioners get stuck in a loose belt position for long enough to throw a belt too especially if the belt is stretched a bit.

Guards are still on mine but I did hit a stick... not a big one, it chopped it up and spit it out. It is possible that is what happened but there was no evidence of that happening.

 I have had blade belts come of a lot of times and knowing exactly how it happened has been challenging.

When you apply power to a mower parts of the belt are under tension and parts are slack.  If your pulleys are worn a good bounce can be enough to derail the slack portion.

Yup.... I'll look into new pullies and a belt if it continues to come off.

Our ground is ruff I am always bouncing around. That is no doubt what happened sometimes.

Today I plan to hurt.  It’s kinda inevitable.  Smarts already!

This is recovery from shoulder surgery and I just gotta live through it.

I got another 48-72 hours before the worst of it has passed but I got enough opiates to stun a herd of pachyderms so I’m good.

At least I can watch Spongebob and laugh my butt off!

LOL... forgot about the time change. I'm just used to running off the body clock. It didn't help that the clock in the bedroom hadn't been reset and I looked at it when I woke up.
I'm normally up between 3 and 4 and just drink coffee and surf waiting for daylight.. I really don't like change but I'll adjust.

Thinking about you Carter, I hope that you heal up quickly, just make sure you do all of the exercises they give you, I just had total knee replacement almost 4 weeks ago and I was very religious with doing mine and it definitely helped the therapist said that I'm ahead of the curve because of it.( I know that shoulder surgery is more difficult then knee surgery but hang in there, you'll be fine!)

  Good Morning.

  I woke up and got up at 3:00 AM today. I just did the time change when I as went to bed an hour earlier last night. So the hour I "lost" was yesterday.  I had worn myself out yesterday so it was easy to go to bed early and get my normal amount of sleep.

Ground should be thawed out by noon, will be planting another 50 trees today. hickory, oak, cherry, poplar..

The first week is the worst.  I’ll be drifting in and out of consciousness today!

Plans are to take It real easy.  I might accompany my lovely wife on a short shopping trip but that’s it.
