Morning and Happy New Year.
Up at 4am. Made coffee and put on the recorded Bama vs. Mich game.
The plan today is to go down to the barn and start pulling old wiring to repurpose for the switch, outlets and lights that will arrive Tuesday 7th. Tomorrow I will go buy the outlets and switch locally and get those put in. I checked the box and a free breaker is already there. Pretty straight forward job just alot of moving the ladder around to get to the 14ft rafter cross bars. I want to have it so all I gotta do is hang and plug the lights in when they arrive.
Betty Lou will put on the traditional crock of pork and kraut and may come down and give me a hand after. Her back has been bothering her for the past couple days so I won't let her do much if she does. She's pretty hard to stop when she puts her mind to something.

Good morning and a happy new year to all. Do laundry, top off zoo feeders, thaw out some squirrel and veggies to put in the crock pot. Haven't decided if I want bbq or creamy. I may go creamy with the weather being colder later this week and a hot bowl of soup would work. Finish working on the chicken pen. I need some more wire to tie the mesh to the frame, found a whole spool of electric fence wire in the shop so that will work. Later this afternoon break out the lawn sweeper and pick up all stuff the storm blew down this week and maybe break out an air gun to get the rest of the pine cones down.

Go home. Today is my last day to pet sit so I'll be heading home around 1700hrs today. I've got to go by Walmart and pick up a calendar for the wife. Then I have to stop by Safeway and get some of her Icelandic water. Yep, she's a water snob.😂🤣 Oh and Happy New year everyone!🎉🎊

Brett you are abundantly blessed and highly favored man. Not just with your wife, ton of kids and health to provide for them but also in you still having your dad and grandmother too. Wish I still had my dad and grandmother around but I'll see them again soon never to be separated again which is comforting in the mean time.

Sam I hope all goes well where you like him because you guys need all the help you can get from the sound of it.

I started the new year off wonderfully. Was eating beef bacon in the recliner at 8am when I smelled something wrong. Got up to check if I left the burner on and yep smoke all through the kitchen. Turned the burner off like I should have before stuffing my trap. Got the glove on and carried the hot pan outside in the 40 degree weather to cool off and opened all doors and many windows with vents running. Brought cooled pan inside then scrubbed it and lid with steel wool but that didn't work so busted out the sand paper and that did the trick. Arms are wore out.

Thank you Gil!  When I said that we went to grandma’s I meant the kids grandma, not mine.  It’s my wife’s mom, my MIL and the kids grandma.  Didn’t mean to throw anyone off. 

Id love to still have a grandma around.  One I was close to the other not at all.  My family on my mom’s side we were close to growing up.  On my dad’s side I don’t think they cared much for us, at least not for any amount of time. 

I still have my mom and dad and they are about a 20 minute drive away.  My wife still has her mom (86) that is about 45 minutes away and her step-mom that lives in FL.  I’m an only child and my wife has an older brother that lives in AZ with one grown step child.  My kids technically have only the one cousin on my wife’s side by marriage but really no cousins since we don’t have any kind of relationship with their.  We tried but she had her own thing going and I’m sure she felt a bit overwhelmed being an only child herself and we have 8.  She also grew up being the center of attention especially with both of her parents having equal custody (every other week with the other parent) and also with her dad being very affluent and her mom trying to play favorite/keep up with her dad.  We do hope and pray the best for her in her adventures…

Made a run to Lowes and grabbed the outlets, switch and cover plates. Got the wire gromet for the box and a few other odds and ends. Stopped by Sheriff West's and borrowed an extension ladder.
Got all the reusable wiring down and ran it from the box to the switch and got 2 of the 3 outlets wired. Then I got hungry and called it a day.
Tomorrow I will wire and hang the last outlet and make the connection in the box. Then it's just a wait for the lights to arrive, hang them and plug them in...  let there be light.

Happy new year.

 I still have whatever "bug" I came down with Monday.
 It's weird because I don't feel sick just tethered to the bathroom. I weighed about 8 lbs. less this morning than I did Sunday morning . I was apprehensive to eat after throwing up my brunch Monday, the first episode. Yesterday I had just one cup of soup, I just ate 2 slices of toast. I didn't feel hungry but though I would "test" my stomach with the toast.

 Last night was the first good nights sleep since the fall in the bathroom on the 27th.
  My wife and I wrapped my ribs up in a wide Ace Bandage, and it was a lot more comfortable to be able to turn over when needed.

Mornin y’all.  As usual I am nauseated.  I’ll be car sick all the way to work.  By about 10:00 I’ll feel better and I’ll be able to eat something.  Just putting one foot in front of the other today.

Brett what an entirely different experience growing up for your kids than for you. I was the same as you. Would've been such a trip having 7 siblings to grow up with! Yep the cousin thing don't always work out. Same here just for different reasons. We were like brothers from babies to high school until he decided to become a prik and stay that way. I split trail and never regretted it. Hopefully God will change him for his sake before someone kills him but I determine to live in peace. His sister is a demon possessed druggy that has pushed all family away from her so after 3yrs of helping her with zero gratitude I had to split from her as well after all the antics she pulled on my mother and I. I love them both and pray for God to help them want to change but God put me here to live in peace with Him and peace must be maintained even with relatives sometimes or they will make your life he|| if you stay in satanic agreement with them to allow them do so which I will not as what fellowship has darkness with light as the good book says.   

Dan that's rough hope you pull through soon so you can get back to all that delicious eating as you eat mighty well.

Not Morning any more but, here's my update for today.

 I think it's over, my appetitive has returned. I'll bet I didn't take in and keep 2,000 calories total, so far this week.

 since Mondays brunch (that I threw up) I have had 2 slices of toast, a cup of bone broth, and then last night I did eat a broasted chicken leg with the thigh.

 Most of what I did eat was yesterday, but I just now got HUNGRY! I am going to eat a Marie Callender's Chicken Pot Pie. I actually feel I want Pizza but don't want to go to town just yet.

Dan... my "comfort food" when I am ill is a box of "Kraft Macaroni and Cheese".
Easy to make and easy on the tummy.
 But.. according to the box I am a "family of 4".
