We had a control issue with our well today. My wife came to me and said our water pressure is really low. I went out and could see we were at 20lbs and the pump was kicking off and on rapidly. I ended up calling my brother in law that is a retired well tech, and we (he) got it sorted out and fixed in about three hours including our trip to get parts. I supplied tools and emotional support. I actually had figured out the problem before he got here but, he confirmed my diagnoses and did the work. We went a long time without any well pump issues and now we have had a couple within the last few weeks. All the "plumbing" from the wellhead to the main waterline is new now, that is pipe, fittings, spring check valve, shut off valves, hose bibs, and unions. It's mostly 1 1/2" and 1 1/4" schedule 80 and I was kind of shocked how much the parts have gone up since last time I bought any. Having replaced the OLD galvanized plumbing that really needed it did avoid a future breakage, so there is some peace of mind there.

Did you check the pressure tank bladder pressure? Don't forget to insulate the plumping. I'll bet your pressure switch contacts are burnt.
Figured. Neibor had 1 go bad on her but being a widow had no idea and ended up with a hugh electric bill 😞. I had one go out on us but knew what to do so I caught it early. Only thing I've never did with my well was replace the deep well pump.
I never had a way of doing that when the pumps went out. I did have a front end loader that I could have use for the third one but I moved before that was necessary.
No politics! 😂🤣😂🤣
