Well, I had a guy call me to look at the truck I have for sale in town. I went to meet him and let him drive the truck. Somehow he managed to roll the power window down and break the toggle switch. Turned out he didn't have the cash to buy the truck until next Friday. I told him if the truck was still there he could get it.
Meantime I couldn't leave the truck in town with the window down and rain coming. So I left the Titan and brought the GMC home and covered the window... it was way too hot out to fool with it. I got out at daylight this morning and modified the switch cover so the window can be rolled up and down with a finger.
Charging the battery and the jump box up. When Betty Lou gets motivated we'll take it back to town and bring the Titan home.
Then I need to get some mowing done.,,, if it don't rain.

Good Morning, I feel back to "my normal rested" this morning after sleeping in my own bed.

I am not sure of any plans today. I think I'll just roll with it and see where I end up and what I end up doing.

Brett I'm surprised you're even able to go back so soon. I can't imagine trying to do any job with those cuts and insides not healed yet. Don't let an antsy boss mess up your arm for life.

I went back to work after a week off.  The guys at work are good and let me hang low to nurse my wing.  The dr says I can’t do any damage by using it and actually encouraged me to use it with limitations.  Using it seems to help it heal faster.  Every day I’m seeing an improvement.  If I get hurt at work it’s because I did it and not from a boss pushing me too much.  We do have a supervisor but he leaves us alone.  It’s almost like we work for ourselves.

20 hours into a 32 hour shift.  It’s been pretty quiet so far, which is good.  That means the lights are on and people are happy.  Just 12 more to go and then it’s back home for a weekend!  🤠

Line crews are rolling in from all over.  I saw bucket trucks parked nose to tail at the fairgrounds.  Gonna be some work around here for a few days

Walked across the lawn, remember we really did not get any rain, so voted to leave the lawn green. Plinked a bit with the Talon .20 a bit while grilling, as the sun was getting lower in temp.

Mornin ya’ll. The boss neglected to call me and tell me he was closing the park so I’ve already driven to work and back this a.m.

Storm prep is the plan for today. Get the boats out of the water. Park every thing in the pasture well away from the trees.  Got to get mom’s generator working.  I need to pick up more boat gas for the generators, propane for the house, and rum and various pharmaceuticals for me.

Gonna hunker down for this one.

Good morning, it's watch and wait to see where this storm goes. In the mean time get stuff moved and picked up, top off feeders, tie down the chicken pens. I don't need them all over the yard like tumble weeds. The wind has picked up and made it a little cooler to work in the yard this morning. I don't need anything in town, trying to stay off the roads when they tell the tourons to leave.

Good belated morning! I got up at 4 AM, Went to Sunday School and morning worship starting at 8:30 AM. We just got back from going out for lunch. Plan is to relax and stay cool a while until time for the evening service. No real other plans, it is HOT 111°F but feels like 108°F  The humidity is just 14% right now.

Because it's raining, "somewhere" around here the temp dropped to the low 80s. Still nothing at my house. I guess I should count my blessings and take the cooler temp without the mud.
