Betty Lou and I have been cleaning up the front yard. We've been working from around 7am until noon-ish. We aren't pushing our old bodies to the point of no return. We got all the time in the world and we're getting plenty of exercise.
I have 5# of lead and a Buck Rail hand grip for the NoDoze coming today so I hope to get some shop time in this afternoon.

It's kinda windy out today and Betty Lou is hanging clothes out on the line. So yardwork is put on hold because the wind will blow everything into her clean laundry.
Now I'm waiting for delivery of airgun stuff.

I'm going by the bank and then go get a haircut.  The weather ain't conducive to shooting.  Tomorrow is supposed to be shootable?

That’s a good work schedule there Mr. Bill.  Once we get under way with the yard that is a very similar work schedule that I like to do.  It’s a good balance between getting things accomplished and enjoying the fruits of our labor.  I need the downtime when I am home to recharge from work.  I like getting something accomplished most days so I keep up and don’t feel too overwhelmed with the never ending list of house cores that need to be accomplished.  I do have my wife and kids that do the majority of the house stuff but there are those items that seem to be kept aside and assigned to “the dad” as specific tasks that only “the dad” is capable of accomplishing.  Ha ha!  Even the King has his place in the kingdom. 😆👑💪🏼

Today’s plan has a couple main events scheduled in. 

1.  Heading up to the local animal services and looking at the possibility of adopting a puppy. 

We have been keeping our eyes out for a dog.  We tried Bella (the Rottweiler).  It unfortunately wasn’t the right fit for our family.  She has been placed in a good home and she is doing very well from the reports that we get about her.  One of our daughters works at the vet where Bella goes and gets boarded on occasion so it’s first hand reporting. 👌🏼

2.  Mrs. P and Me are going out to lunch and then a chocolate tour. 

It's my birthday gift from my wife.  Before C-19 there were a handful of chocolate tours around the area.  There aren’t as many still going.  Even the last one we went on is no longer.  Anyway, this particular one looks like it’s a bit on the feminine side (woman owned and pink).  It should be fun even though I will have a hard time imagining that I’m clearing the building of bad guys and being rewarded chocolate life stars along the way.

 My wife will pull weeds and garden but she has only mowed our yard once in our life together. I was laid up from the motorcycle accident and couldn't. She used a self propelled mower we had, I took a picture or video of the ultra rare event, I don't remember which. I think it was on an old phone that died so I lost it. She gladly does most of the house work, shopping and cooking. She never complains and doesn't ask much of me. We enjoy spending time together and full trust, so we don't have a leash on each other and do stuff individually too.

 She has been keeping real busy making stuff for the great grandkids, quilts, blankets, booties, hats, stuffed animal toys and other sewed, crocheted, embroidered items.

Good morning GTA! Happy Friday! I slept in until 0300, felt the sniffles starting and got up. My wife actually had Flonase in her purse, so I tried it last night before bed. I do believe it worked and that’s how I got to sleep un-interrupted from about 2100-0300. Our crane lift yesterday was not approved in advance, so that’s what we’re doing today. I’ll visit my chiropractor on the way to the job, and hopefully that’ll be all we need to do today. It’s a fairly big heat exchanger, it goes in a 15 ton package unit. I’m on-call this weekend, though.

Hey y'all..
Usual morning routine so far this morning. We planned on continuing outside work today but the weatherman changed all that with predictions of the lowest percentage chance of rain being 70% all day.
With that, barring Secret Squirrel moments, I may get some shop cleaning done. Maybe even get some 99.9% lead poured into .22 20gr pellets.
I also have a couple low end BB guns waiting on the reseal rack for some tlc.

Bill my day will be governed by the weather as well. Gate project has been moved into the shed where I can finish prepping for painting when the weather is good and dry. Today it's mostly garden prep and transplanting fruit trees. The trees are running out of the pots so its time to permanently find them a home. Go pick up the mail and zoo food later.

I'm going to assemble the gun rack my wife bought for me and mount it on the wall. Then I'll finally stop having air rifles sitting in corners, at least until I get the Aspen fixed if ever.

It's sad that the weatherman can't git right when he predicts nice weather. But he dang sure nailed it today... rain, rain, rain.
But I hit the shop at 5:00 am where it's high and dry... ok, hold on the high. Those days are long gone..   
So far one gun is in the "done" pile. After a period of standing in the doorway sipping on a hot cup of coffee and watching the rain, I'll dig out another one to go under the Allen wrenches and screw drivers.

Up @ 0200, 0500, 0615.  About half an hour after the pup wants to cry and bark.  She would quiet down though so that’s good. 

I started to teach the pup (don’t have an official name yet, they named her Milani at the shelter) how to make coffee this morning.  She was very enthusiastic and dove nose first into the coffee beans when I showed them to her.  It’s amazing how quick this newcomer already knows the crinkle of a bag means food.  Out next coffee making lesson I’ll be sure that she has eaten first then we will carry on with coffee prep class. 

Plans today are to play pool with pops then head into work.  So far I am not supposed to work the grave shift so I’ll get to come home to attempt to sleep (puppy) and I’ll work a double tomorrow.

We have some errands to run this morning and an order to pick up at Walmart. There's no wind and it's supposed to be sunny with temperatures in the 60's by mid afternoon so, I hope to do some shooting later in the day.

Forgot, today is the first and that's the day I have to serve the solar battery and fill the tires on the trailers. Here's a picture of the battery.😲 It took a half of a gallon of distilled water to bring it up to full.

Well, so much for putting all of my air rifles on the gun rack. I can only get 2 of them up there because of the scopes and even the one without a scope won't fit because of the way the stock is shaped.

Evenin y'all.  I ain't quite human first thing in the morning so I don't post here as often as I'd like.  I'm home from work and I've just consumed my one hard drink of the day.  A slightly dirty gin martini.

This evening I plan to cook some form of dinner involving pork chops but we haven't quite resolved what it will be.  Then I will get out some color pencils and conte to draw a portrait I have been promising someone for a while.  I'm hoping that by posting here I will guilt myself into getting to work.
