You know what is one of the best things about the New Year for me? I get a book of 12 pages of targets with 28 - 31 squares on each page to shoot at.   

 I just found some Like new from 2016 wonder if they are any good yet

That's good start to a new year Jim, I am tying up all my last year's orders this week and next week. Today is food run for the zoo, the tire is fixed so that I can make the rounds, pick up mail, and anything else that is needed around the house.

Got both heaters and the circulation fan fired up in the Red Shed. I plan on spending much of the day in there.

Today, my son has a day off work.  I invited him to go hunting with me - and he accepted.  He sent me a picture of the hunting license he purchased last night.  So, we will both be legal.
The cold will dictate how I hunt - probably do mostly slow walking and brief standing.  [The sun is shining and the wind is calm.  ]  We will both be hunting with Stormriders .22 using JSB 18.13 gr pellets.

I got up at 6:25 AM today. I didn't think to look at the temp right away but it was 34°F when I looked.
It is supposed to get to 63°F today.


My wife has Jury Duty starting today since she postponed it from November because of her already planned trip to Idaho.


I have a list of things I need to get done so... we'll see how that goes.

Last day of three days off.  Need to get a plan and materials list written down for a bathroom and utility room remodel.  I’m not really looking forward to doing this but it needs to be done (water damage).  The next two weeks are already busy at work.  I have multiple OT shifts scheduled.  Every year I go through this and tell myself that I’m not going to work as much.  Typically, January is one of my highest $$$ months.  This one is already shaping up to be the same.  Only 10 more years to go… 😱😐

Got 3 nails and screws pulled out of a tire and plugged today. I've needed several plugs lately from idjits driving around with demo materials on flat beds not tied down. Or maybe it's the tire shop tossing them onto roads for job security.

A shop I worked for offered $1.00 tire repair, many times it lead to new tire sales, but our biggest customers were the roofers LOL

Still struggling with sleeping normal. So to bed at 3am up at 6am. Took the big monster to school then off to Walmart to get a new car seat for the little monster. Now I'm at the VFW for lunch then probably back home for a nap. Then probably put the new car seat in and go get the big monster from school. Spend time with both monsters grill us up some steaks. To end the day I'll play some Ever Quest.

It was great to wake up at home for the first time in almost three weeks.   3950 miles of driving, visiting friends and family in New York City,  York PA, Charlotte NC,  Charleston SC,  Ocala FL and Fort Lauderdale FL.   Lots of good times, too much good food and only one vehicle breakdown.   Battery died right after we arrived at SILs place in Fort Lauderdale.   There was an auto parts store a couple miles away and I picked up and installed a new battery in no time.  I usually travel with a pretty extensive tool kit but for this trip I figured I was getting too old to be fixing random strangers cars on the side of the road (a favorite challenge of mine) so all I had was a pocket knife and a Leatherman. 

Wonder wife doesn't travel light and we had our 110 pound old Anatolian Shepherd with us so there was a lot of stuff in the van.  I removed the second row of seats to there would be plenty of room for his giant dog bed.  I had one soft backpack with my stuff and wonder wife brought half a walk in closet, for example, she brought 4 jackets.  In all fairness she always looks great and I pretty much always look like a borderline slob.   We brought a cooler full of home made cookies (for distributing to our hosts along the way).  And a second cooler for road snacks and dog food.   We do a LOT of eating when we are on the road, in and out of the car.

Anyways, today I'm gonna open up the safes and pull a bunch of guns out and put them on racks so I can access them easily for a lot of shooting this afternoon.

If you were in the service area I’d come over and cut it for you!  Ha ha!

Those hilifts are unnerving.  They always seem like they are going to go over.  I need one for some tree trimming at my place. 

I like to be grounded most of the time.  I’ve spent a lot of time working transmission when I was younger.  Not many pictures of that though.  It was before cell phones for me.  Here are some pictures of pictures.

I use to use my front loader tractor for reaching places to high to use a ladder. Dang I miss that money pit! 😂
