Who turned on the AC outside, I actually had to bundle up this morning. First thing this morning is go get a saw blade, hit a nail with the circular saw yesterday. Probably stay inside this morning until it warms up a little, the wind is making it little tough to be outside. I don't mind the cold so much it's the wind that cuts to the bone no matter how many clothes I have on. I have plenty to do inside to keep me busy.

I got out of the shower, got dressed and ventured out with the Barra 1866 bb gun in hand. Even though I had on long pants, socks and a hoodie it only took about 5 shots to realize I needed to come back in and dry out a little more. I'm from the far north water front region of Ohio and I can tolerate cold better than most here in the south but I don't have any desire to get sick. I'll get back out later after the sun warms things up a bit and the wind dies down. Weatherman says this cold front will pass in a day or so. Good news is, my campfire log stack is full to the brim and the empty beer can bucket is full of potential bb gun targets.   
Not much better than sitting next to a campfire shooting empty beer cans with a bb gun... unless maybe it's making more targets.

Sounds like the weather we had a few days ago with wind chill getting down to 19 at night. It's finally quit blowing here and I'll be able to burn trash. It did make it nice for cutting down dead trees. I'd cut from the windward side and it would push the tree away from me. It's not like they're big trees but..... Wife and I have to go do our begining of the month grocery shopping, yeh! I hate shopping but dang it I'm addicted to eating.🤬🤬 That's a expensive addiction!!

Thanks folks. The memsahib and I came as the bride and groom.  The best man was Frankenstein.  The maid of honor was who else?  The bride of Frankenstein.  But the best part was my one legged MIL (Diabetic amputee) came as a peg legged pirate.

Wow Robert!  Fifty years is quite an accomplishment.  I think you are past the violent stage.  You're probably safe by this time.  If she was going to kill you she would have done it by now I think.  No sense taking any chances though so be careful.

The problem is she's had a TBI. She gets perturbed at just about everything. We can't turn on the news at all as it puts her into such a state.... She smacked her head pretty hard when that pickup truck hit her as a pedestrian a couple of years ago.

Kris I was cold outside for hours weed eating and mowing the front yard. I had a coat on but my hands were cold in the breeze. Glad to have a warm home on a cold night!

Spent all morning raking leaves, mowing, cutting brush and picking up branches.   When I started it was 36 degrees.   In a few minutes I was warmed up and 36 degrees was T shirt weather.

Good morning GTA! Happy Thursday! I didn’t get to sleep until around 2300, woke up around 0415. Oh well, I’m up having coffee. I wound up not going back to that PM yesterday and instead had a 3 hour drive to the job I was on Tuesday afternoon. I had recommended running new thermostat wire for both units, around 250’ all said & done. So, that’s what I did. Today I don’t have a job on me, but I still have that unfinished PM job in Ft Smith from Tuesday morning. It would’ve been nice if it was sitting on me, so I could leave early. So, I’ll have my 2 cups o’Joe and take my time. Might even have breakfast, then call the office between 0730-0800.

Great idea John!  I think I'll attempt some form of breakfast this AM. 

Up at 0350ish.  Laid there until 0428 just before the alarm was going to go off.  I made a slow and unmotivated attempt to move towards work.  I failed.  Odd man out today so instead of burning time and fuel the be the third wheel I decided to call it dry and stay home.  Now I'm sitting in quiet darkness surfing, reading and praying with a cup of STRONG 🦾 coffee close at hand.

My hope is to maybe POP some rounds through at least one pistol and do some more clean up/reorganizing in the shop.  We shall see what really becomes of the day.

Man, I sleep like a baby when it's cold. I got up at 5:30 and apparently Rambo sleeps good when it's cold too. He didn't even budge until I got up.
No plan for the day and I love that. I can go outside and do whatever tickles my fancy.

Up at 0630 which is normal during the summer but since the sun doesn't come up until around 0730 I don't get up until 0800. Gotta go hook up the water trailer and go get a load of 1000 gallons. We ended up doing a lot of clothes washing and car washing and we're down to half of our water storage capacity of 3100 gallons. I have to be to a clients house to pet sit tomorrow at 1000hrs for 3 days so have to get everything done today.

Good morning, chilly here with a little frost on the ground. Wind is already blowing so most of my activity will be inside for a while. I don't mind the cold it's wind that makes it tough on the body. Nothing spectacular in the works for today. Like Bill, I am enjoying whatever floats my boat.

Mornin y'all!  I'm on kind of indefinite weekend.  The boss is futzing with the schedule again and gave me a four day weekend because we don't get overtime. Starting Sunday I'm going to Topsail Hill preserve for a week to teach an interpretive course. Lots of boring lectures but they are putting me up in one of the cabins.  Plenty of fishing and crabbing there.  Black Water State Forest and Eglin are just up the road so I will head for the woods as soon as the work is done.

Today I'm taking it easy.  I do plan to pick up my uniforms from the dry cleaner and swing by the ship chandlers for more rum.

  I got up at 5:40 AM this morning. I am going to try to push myself to get some things done that I have just been piddling with for a while now.


  My wife will be gone most of the day to her stitching group first, then out to eat with some ladies from the Ch**ch for an lady we know that is turning 80 today.


  And I need to do some weed whacking too if I find time or energy after I get the rest done, doubtful today...


  I plan on taking a Hot Springs spa day tomorrow just to swim and relax, it's supposed to be 87°F in Desert Hot Springs with practically no wind tomorrow so it should be a perfect day for the pools.


  I am almost done with my coffee and is is 42.2°F outside now but is supposed to get to 70°F before 10:00 AM and up to 86°F this afternoon. I'll start out wearing layers that I'll shed as needed.
 
  I can hear the birds singing on my security monitor. Sounds like they are having a good time enjoying the morning sun.


  I am going to go out as soon as I take the last sip of my coffee Ah... that was good.

Betty Lou and I decided to go to the local country diner (Tater's) for a good old country breakfast. Sausage gravy n biscuits with eggs. She also had a country ham steak. It was good and we got to visit with a few of the community elders who frequent the place. Best part was that Betty Lou didn't have to cook or clean up.

Went back to bed @ 0600 to get warn by Mrs. P.  Didn't think I feel asleep but the next time I opened my eyes and checked the clock it was 0720!  I continued to lay there and enjoy the warmth under the covers. 

Got up at whatever time Mrs. P started moving around and made myself pancakes and eggs.  Youngest daughter (18) just brought me a latte while I surf.  When I stay home it throws the schedule off so it's been a slow late start for everyone so far.  It doesn't help that it's so dark, gray and wet outside either.  Time to sip that latte...

It was as good as home cooked but nothing compares to the love Betty Lou adds to her recipes.
But yes, this small one off diner cooks everything just as it would be cooked in a country home kitchen.
Biscuits, pancakes, cakes and everything else is made from scratch. Nothing comes from a box or a can.
Tater owns and operates the place and her daughters cook and serve the food. her son buses the tables and does the dishes. Her husband does the maintenance. There are only 8 tables and 2 of those are only 2 seaters.
You can also call in your order and pick it up at the walk up window in the front of the building
