Not really Robert, I rebuild the ones that wear out over time. Some become gifts for special occasions. I just enjoy designing, making, and fish with them. I started doing it 20 years ago because of the standard colors and styles that were offered, also if you could find them in stock half them time. It is one of my many "unwind from the world" hobbies that I do when I don't feel like doing anything else.

Good morning GTA! Happy Monday! I didn’t get one single call this weekend, and I’m fine with that. We got a pretty nice break from the heat Saturday and Sunday, the high temperature was about 88*. I have to go to the Revenue office on the way out to work and settle some property taxes. Then I have a freezer to go work on. I’m going to have one more cup o’Joe and I’ll get ready. It’s going to get real hot the next 10 days.

Ask away, I am the same when it comes to people's hobbies or talents. It is not as much the end product but the process that is involved making the item that makes me curious at times.

More rain on the way this morning, so I will have to work the outdoor activities around it. Still dealing with the weekend barrage of psa flares, this morning it has migrated to my hands. I go through spells like this where it doesn't matter what I do I am going to hurt like h3ll one way or another. So it's grit teeth and push through it and git'er done day for me.

I have tools and ladder loaded in my van.   In an hour or so I'll drive to Boston and pick up my son at his Boston apartment.   We'll do some repairs at a couple condos he owns.   Then we'll drive to NYC and move stuff from his Manhattan apartment to his new place in Brooklyn.    He'll be glad to be living in just one place and I'll be very sad that the place is 5 hours away from my wife and me in NH.    Now that he's married, we'd like it a lot if he settled down in the same little town as us instead of the big city far away.    He would be happy if my wife and I moved to New York.   But I don't want to live anywhere I can't shoot, ride a dirt bike or take a pee in my yard whenever I feel like it.  I've never seen those amenities listed in a New York City real estate listing.

My wife & I took care of our property taxes, it was a quarter of what we thought we owed. That was a huge weight off our shoulders. I’m at work and feeling pretty good. Next thing she needs to take care of is the IRS. She worked out a deal, we just need to pay it. Then we’ll be back on track, hopefully with a lot less to worry about. It’s still going to be hot this week, though. But I have a pool I can jump in at the end of the day.

0600 start.  Coffee, fire, pool, surfing.  Last day of my extended weekend (2 birthdays).  Back to the daily grind tomorrow.

Today I'll probably just take it easy and do some yard pick up and shop pick up.  One of the bathrooms needs a scrub down and my bedside area seemed to be the dumping ground so I'll straighten that area up too.  It's sprinkling right now but maybe I'll wash the car and maybe my truck.  Basically getting things ready to start the work week.

As far as shooting airguns or dirt bike riding no but I hear there's no problem peeing on the sidewalks.

Good morning GTA! Happy Tuesday! I got up at 0500, and I’m having coffee. I have an hour and a half ride to go work on a cooler. I got new boots that came in yesterday. Happy feet, I haven’t had new work boots since pre-Covid.

Good morning GTA! Happy Tuesday! I got up at 0500, and I’m having coffee. I have an hour and a half ride to go work on a cooler. I got new boots that came in yesterday. Happy feet, I haven’t had new work boots since pre-Covid.

I'm guessing that meant to ask John but, I did get some new boots just not for work.  They are Justin's.

I wear Keens for work.  I like the wider toe box and more neutral angle of the foot bed.  I don't actually need a heavy work boot or climbing boot anymore.  I'm one of the older more senior dogs on the dock at work so I leave the majority of the climbing to the young hungry guys.  I've already proven myself. 🤠🤠🤠

I wear keens also but my son in-law bought some a couple of years after I did and they started to fall apart on him. Not sure if he just got a bad pair or their quality has gone bad?

I got 2 pair of Carolina Loggers, #CA9821. Steel toe, met support, electric hazard, waterproof and all leather. I need the met support and these are built in. They’re the only boots that have held up for me and keep my arches from hurting. I never wear the same pair of boots 2 days in a row, been doing that since I was in the Army.
