Now I just need to get Ayrabella there at 0830 and I’ll be left here to get the line-trimming done.
If I get called out, I’ll go to work.

Good morning GTA! Happy Saturday! I got up around 0500 and started coffee. My wife got up at 0530, the girls have a big shindig at the Ch**ch today, a tea-party of sorts. I’m on call this weekend, but I’m going to get the line-trimming done, if they let me alone. I’m also daydreaming about things I’m going to get done/start to do around here with a new piece of equipment I bought. I should have it sometime between Monday and Wednesday. I might shoot something today, too, if I’m not called out to work. I really need the work, though… I’ve got payments to make.

Mornin'
Woke up around 4:45. Rambo got up with me as I made coffee and fed him. He didn't even want out after he ate, he just went back to bed. Those 2 female type womens (Betty Lou and Boss) are still sleeping.
I turned on the NASCAR truck race that I had recorded from yesterday and when it's over I'll go out and fire up Casting Corner II. Then I'll grab a shower while things come up to temp.
The rest of the day will just be what it will be.

Good morning GTA! Happy Sunday! I got up soon after 0500. I’m on call, but still haven’t got called out to work. I’m finishing up my coffee and I’ll get ready for Sunday school and Ch**ch. I have a fridge I’m donating/delivering to a friend of mine after Ch**ch, then I’ll head back home to catch up on NASCAR. …unless, I get called out to work.

I slept in until 06:00.... 'tis a brisk morning but sunny and calm here.
 I have a small honey-do list to help Hoosier Mamma out because she has to work the Golf Course today.
But then I am foot loose and fancy free.
  Plan to set up a new backstop out at 120 yards and try my hand with the Texan's newest diet.
Then do some closer range plinking with some of my older airguns that have been neglected.

Good morning GTA! Happy Monday! I got up at 0430, I’ve downed 2 cups of coffee and I’m going to get ready to rollout. I don’t have a job on me yet, but I’m going to get new tires on the work van. I didn’t get one single call all weekend while on call. Im hoping we get our stuff together and get to working normal. I’ve appreciated not working like crazy people enough, but I’ve got bills and stuff that needs paid for. Like that new tractor and trailer.

Me and Rambo got up at 5am. He ate and went outside and I made coffee. Not much planned for today. I got a couple more bills to pay to finish up this month. I need to find a box for the Fortitude synthetic stock I gifted to another member and get that to the Post Office. After that it will just be hanging out at home and dealing with whatever comes my way.

Good morning, the usual garden chores, feed zoo, feed me. Later today it's platelet donation day and some shopping if the weather permits. NWS is predicting flash flooding for the next three days in this area, just what I need a swamp to run around in. Luckily the garden is raised up so nothing will drown. Need the rain but not the deluge.

The memsahib and I will head in to Coon bottom at some point to do some shopping.  We need puppy chow and puppy chew toys!

I only slept 3 hours Saturday night so I got a good 5 hours and 27 minutes last night according to my smart watch. I feel well rested now  .

I need to make arrangements with the owner and go with the wife to look at a car that I might buy that is 75 miles away.

After an awesome weekend, today is a work day.  Plans?  More database work, more meetings...  Management is starting to realize we have a tiny team of 3, one of whom is a relative novice (yours truly), and we're the team that makes the magic happen- and the senior guy on the team is poised to go work elsewhere very VERY soon.

Conversation sort of goes like this:
"Hey, Anti-Squirrel, what's up with [customer A] fuel systems 1 and 2?
Me- "nothing.  They're sitting since tasking last Friday was [customer B] data work. and that was our last meeting input.  That customer gave us total crud and neglected to run the stuff we told them, so it takes me ~30 minutes per run, now up to 440k errors... and I'm halfway done."
"D'oh.  What about [customer C] fuel, [customer D] database, work, and [customer E and F]'s fuel?
Me- "Rinse and repeat my first answer"
"Uh...  Okay, we need to expedite this fuel stuff..."
Me- "sure.  Let me stop the database work on these other 2 we haven't even talked about"
"D'oh, we haven't even talked about those..."
Me- "That's what I said... let me know who takes precedence.  I can run multiple databases concurrently but can only fix 1 database at a time, and..."

This went on for nearly 20 minutes.

Lucky for us, my direct boss postulated last Friday- some stuff has to change, we need more development work, and almost all our eggs aren't just in one handbasket, they're stacked on top of each other, we're in short wheelbase old pick-up with a worn suspension that's running low on gas, has a misfire and as well as a flat tire, it's popping out of gear, and the dirt road has washouts and is about to plunge into a ravine.

My mentor and I have been talking for years about how we need to improve the processes and update the tools but there was never the willpower at higher levels; well lemme tell ya.  Time's a changin'!

Plans for later: shoot some arrows, replace boards on a bench, drain fuel out of yet another freebie mower and start troubleshooting.

Plans had changed for me this morning, I did a boo boo and took aspirin which a no no when donating, so I canceled and rescheduled that for Wednesday. So for the rest of the day finish mowing and weed eating, move some dirt, build me a sifter to sift the junk out of the dirt so I can fill up nursery planters and start some more veggies.  I need to work on the Discovery, cocking got stiff and there some grinding when pulling the hammer back. This will be its first tear down since I owned it, bought it brand new in 2014, so it's probably time to tear down, reseal, and smooth out some things on it. It's a laser with polymags.

The tractor store called and said my tractor & trailer are ready for pickup. I’m going to see if I can find a cape on the way home. Just in case my wife gets mad, she can be Super-Mad!

I believe that’s true. And my wife and I usually go over and make decisions together. But, every time I tried to talk to her about it, it just wasn’t the right time, at all. 

So, we each make “Command” decisions, sometimes.
