Hannah Flood ( yes that's her real name too) said that we could expect rain Friday, Saturday, Sunday and most of next week.

The last of my snow melted off at the end of April and was all gone by May 1st. 

Upper Michigan is a different story.

They got 30 inches of snow a few days ago and set a new late season record.

Good morning GTA! Happy Friday! I got up at 0430 and I’ve had my coffee… I need to get ready to head out. I need to visit my chiropractor, then call the office to see what we’re doing for today. I trained the new guy yesterday and we need something to do today, or send him home on his 5 1/2 hour, or so, ride.

Up already.  Ate oatmeal with bananas and walnuts.  Thinking about some coffee then I plan on moving more out of the shop in preparation for building storage cabinets.  It will be cabinets 22' long X 2' deep X 7' high.  That should help hold some stuff and it will be nice to close the doors for a neat uniform appearance. 

I'll be heading out around 1130 to meet pops for pool then off to work.

Well I hauled some plants to my cousin's places yesterday and ended up coming back with more plants for the garden. I ended up with a clump of oregano, a clump of chives, one celery plant, and a 1/4 pound of sprouted potatoes. I have sweet potatoes starting sprout  so I need to get them in a pot so I can cut the slips to start new plants. So this morning has been a planting frenzy and still have more pots to fill dirt in. It has been worth it because I will have fresh vegetables and fruit which will help cut down the grocery bill for the next few months.

Plans later involve taking the largest pieces of metal I can find on the property, namely my F-150, and using it to beat the living F out of the hunk of excrement Statesman piece-o-cr@p riding mower.  I may also go rent a gas-powered cut-off saw to see just how large a pile of metal shavings I can make, though I'd be fine with just dragging the mower upside down from central VA to a desert somewhere that is not nearby to ensure maximum damage to said mower.





EDIT: Okay, maybe I'm just frustrated over the darn electrical disaster this mower has turned into.  mid-90s vintage, parts NLA, and replacements "guaranteed to fit" that are clearly used with scorching, a bent ignition key, a solenoid that is fused (no movement)...  Next time I buy any parts from TSC I'm going to open the boxes and inspect before I leave the store.
