Beautiful Day, it is 54°F already, headed for 74° today.

I need to run some errands. Overall just kind of relax and go with the flow most of the day, no real plans other than buying dog food that must get done.

I'm gonna do some shooting. Then I'm gonna do some reading. Then more shooting. Late brunch. Load up some gear and go to the club and do some more shooting. Probably go out to eat with wonder wife (thursday is date night). Come home and do some more shooting and then have a glass of wine and watch netflics.

Good morning GTA! Happy Friday!!! Up at 0400, walked the dog and 2 cups o’Joe… getting ready to hit the day head on. I have 5 new o-rings for that leaky compressor down by Ft. Smith. I’ll visit my chiropractor on the way out. Sure would be nice to get home before the sun goes back down.

Same here, rain will be on and off here in the panhandle this weekend. So I will migrate to the shop and finish my woodworking project and clean out the shop some more. Hopefully by next week I will be able to prune back the freeze kill on my citrus trees. They are starting bud back out. I won't have any fruit this year which is fine so long as I don't have to replace the entire tree.

LOL.... don't know about y'all but I count the rainy days as blessings.. They shorten the hunny do list and I can escape to the shop to tinker.

Such as... when I closed the roll up door last evening one of the pulleys came loose. I'll need to fix that today. I'll beef both of them up because I kinda left it in R&D mode when I first hung it.

24 and sunny but real windy! Man that wind just cuts right thru me! 🥶🥶 Talking snow and rain Sunday night. Slight chance Mon and 3.5 inches of snow tue. A slight dusting in other words. Ground is just dried out enough so I can walk around and clean up after the dogs and not have muddy shoes and now we'll be back to the mud.🤬🤬

Good morning GTA! I was awake at 4:00 AM but stayed in bed cuddling until 6:00 AM When I got out of bed.

I think I am going to the dump today if I get the truck loaded up. We are supposed to have a high of 73°F today.

I am sure I will spend the majority of the day outside.

The next 10 days are supposed to be cooler, with 52°F-62°F Highs, and 3 of the 10 days have a chance of rain. Today is going to be fairly perfect weather though, so I will enjoy it.

My wife just put some cinnamon rolls in the oven(rare event), so that will be next on my agenda.

Mornin Y'all! It's a beautiful, dank, misty, rainy day! Perfect weather if you're a Scotsman! I'm headed for the swamp!

Days like this are what synthetic stocks were meant for. My problem is which air rifle to carry. Should I go with a light weight 17 fpe .177, or should I carry one of my bigger magnums? I'll put one of each on the boat and make my decision when I get up river.

The ex county sheriff, Charles West called. A while back he bought a springer off another guy here in town. He dropped it off here and asked me to go through it, check it out, clean it up and sight it in.
I did all that and hung it on a gun rack in the bar/mancave expecting him to come retrieve it. Apparently we both forgot about it and it's been hanging there for a couple months now.
He called and asked me about it this morning.
So we made a plan to meet at his farm and drop it off to him after I scoop up something to eat.

Wind has calmed down a bunch. Still kinda cool but not near as it was this morning.

Got back from visiting with Charles a while ago. And of course I didn't come home empty handed.
He sent me with his Marlin Model 80 .22lr to clean up and sight in. He pulled it out of the tool box in his truck bed and yeah, it need cleaned up.
He also sent me with the main ingredients for 'happy pie' and said if I made the batch he would split it with me. How do you argue with that?

Typical morning here in the wonderful world of retirement...

I have a gun of a different flavor to service today for a friend. It's a rainy day here and perfect to hunker in the shop and dig in. If it don't take too long I'll probably work on the list of airguns that need TLC.
Gonna do a 4 gallon batch of "happy pie creek water" in the next day or so...
