Awake at 4:00 AM but stayed in bed almost until 5:00 AM.

 I am not sure what all I am going to do today except we have Ch**ch tonight.

 The weather is supposed to be partly cloudy and get up to 57-59°F today depending on which weather site I look at. Thursday and Friday are supposed to be clear and about 70°F and then we are supposed to see rain for four more days.

I think today is the day I have to put down one of my four legged pals.  Not looking forward to it.   This one has been a great friend.

It's what we sign up for every decade or more. It hurts a lot but think of all the joy they bring to us it's worth it.

Thanks all.  I always say we'll never get another pet.   We live on a dirt road near a dead end boat ramp where people have abandoned their cats and dogs.   I know that if another one shows up at our door looking abandoned and hungry we just can't send him away.

Though we wouldn't trade them for them for the World and the joy they have brought us is beyond description, when Boss and Rambo are gone, we are done with pets.
We want to enjoy the freedom of retirement.

I woke up at 4am and put the news on in the bedroom and laid there dozing in and out until 5. Betty Lou stayed up watching TV last night while I went to bed. I guess she didn't want to wake me so she slept in the spare bedroom. Boss slept on the floor next to her and Rambo slept on the floor next to me but neither stirred to get us up until I got up.
Been sipping coffee since and now headed for a nice hot shower. We are supposed to get some strong thunder storms blow through early this afternoon and gone by evening. We are at the lower end of the radar tracking so we'll see how that goes. I'll probably sit in the mancave or Red Shed and watch the progress.

Worked on the boat yesterday, just little maintenance things that have been neglected a little. Watching the weather to see what will come of it, jockey all the plants that survived the last cold snap back into the fish cleaning shed. There is not much I can do for the citrus trees right now. Just have to wait and see how cold it gets. Start getting garden spots prepped for the spring veggies. Just taking it one day at a time for now.

Good morning GTA! Happy Thursday! I slept in until 0530 CST. I’m off work for 8 days. My wife’s flight this morning has already been delayed 2+ hours. We’ll leave here about 1030 hrs to bring her to the airport. No plans until I know she’s on her way. Right now it’s raining and the temperature has dropped considerably since yesterday.

I have got most of the snow off of the roof of my house.

Soooo....We had a big Ice Storm yesterday.

Now I'll be chipping ice off the steps and walk ways.

More snow on the way Monday

This past week, it has been unseasonably warm, for Minnesota this time of year.

It has been in the high 20's and low 30's.

I'll take it, usually it is well below zero by January.

It has been warm here too.  Yesterday morning, I had breakfast with some friends at Cracker Barrel; and the fireplace was NOT blazing. 
We are supposed to get a little snow tomorrow.  But it will probably melt as soon as it touches the streets/walkways.

Mornin ya'll.  It's warmer today than yesterday and the memsahib and I plan to work on the green house project.  Might burn part of the garden today if the wind lies down.  Yesterday's expedition into uncharted swamp was very productive.  Hog sign was observed in several locations.  I scouted a flood plain and a chain of swampy lakes that meanders through a sandhill formation covered with monoculture plantation pine.  It was a beautiful day and I saw a lot that warrants returning and exploring more.

Today and tomorrow are suppose to be pretty nice. I have some errands to run this morning and then I am planning on doing some maintenance on my GMC. I have a new thermostat, fuel pump, and motor mount that will be first and then I am planning a coolant flush and new hoses too. The hoses aren't bad but I choose to change them before they cause trouble.

 The motor mount broke when I let a grandson borrow it, I am fairly certain he was power braking it. 

I was young once and know how it goes, so I can't be too hard on him.

I did some awesome burnouts with my dad's 72 GMC 400.
