My errands are done, no small pistol primers, I was a day late. But Dairy Queen was open. I bought myself one a them ice cream cakes.
Man this is living!!!
Yes, I will save some for tomorrow...

And as far as the purple pigs, they can’t ruin my birthday as I have been emotionally bankrupt since 1998.

My plans for today were to blow snow.
It was the same plan I have had since last Tuesday when this winter storm Diaz hit.
I have been getting anywhere from 2 to 8 inches of snow each day.
I think I might make a snowman, out back about 50 yards, to hold airgun targets.
That would be a novelty, don't ya think ?
Below is a picture of my backyard last Tuesday, after the first snow hit.
There is a lot more snow out there now.

Happy Birthday Kurt!

John:  “Chillie” looks like a Keeper to me... but then I think that about all dogs.

Well I am 58 today and I feel every minute. The wife gave me a nice little pocket knife. Not one I would have bought, but it will get used none the less.

I’ve been sick since October, feeling better but my sinus is still plugged, can’t hear a darn thing. My doc won’t give me antibiotics, says they won’t work after a while. Not sure how that can be if he never gives them to me.

Going to the bank for some cash and then I will dare a trip to Bass Pro. I keep hearing that they have small pistol primers. I will invest if they do.
Football at noon, those stupid purple pigs better not try to ruin my birthday. I’ll hit the off switch if it starts to look bad.

I am off now for the rest of 22. There will be a lot of shooting in the “Parlor.”
Will post up some 10m casual today. Maybe jumper, pistol and pcp. We will see.

I will clean up the shop in prep for the teardown of the Daisy 753.
A good German barrel paired with such a bad trigger is a crime. I have accumulated a bunch of parts for this project.....do-over parts if needed, HA!

The goal is to make a nice 10m shooter so my HW30 can move on to do other stuff. It’s the one that can do it all! Almost.

Most important will be a nap, oh yea, I am really good at those.

Of course there will be trips to the kitchen as Christmas baking will be in full swing. I hear the oven door open, then I make my move!

Thanks guys, I know she’s a keeper now that we got to see her. She warmed up to Ayrabella the most, which is a great sign for me. Once she did, she didn’t want to leave Ayrabella’s side. Before this, my wife said all Chillie did was lay in her pen and shake, she was so scared. My wife called the police officer who runs the pound and everyone’s happy that we’ll take her home. Chillie will go to the vet Monday and get the works and my wife will pick her up and bring her home. We’ll go visit Chillie again tomorrow after Ch**ch. When we had to go today, Chillie was running around in her runner barking at us.

It was a birthday miracle!!!

I changed the channel, took a nap, a good one, then put back on when as they scored their first points. Then my sons and grandchildren all showed up!
Watched the game, ate ice cream cake, was showered in gifts. I am truly blessed.

Good morning GTA! Happy Sunday! I woke up at 0330, but went back to sleep until 0530 CST. No snow here, but it’s getting colder everyday this week leading up to Christmas. We might get some snow for a white Christmas during the week. This morning I have Sunday school at 0900 and Ch**ch at 1000 hrs. No small group tonight, so we’re rearranging stuff from our bedroom to the office and vice versa. I need to help my wife finish up the office to be a useful room to us as an office/library, as well as a guest room.

Did some work on the backstop and target setup yesterday and I was going to post some pics but the battery in the tablet was dead. I got it charged up now and get some pics today.
In the meantime....
Boss, the American Bulldog in my avatar is something else. Both her and Rambo have their own personalities. Before we inherited Boss, Rambo had a knotted rope toy. When Boss came along she claimed it. Rambo just gave it up. He don't even look at it anymore. Boss, on the other hand, rarely goes anywhere without it. We actually had to buy her another one because she took the first one outside and lost it.
She will fall asleep with this rope in her mouth... as seen below.

The really cold weather will be here Tuesday.

I got about 1/4 inch of light powder snow last night.
I will clear that up with the leaf blower and then head out to church.

That made me smile and laugh, Bill. I really get a giggle out of the personalities of different dogs. When we only had Chopper, he loved to play with toys- tennis balls and rope toys, etc. The following year we got Millie, when she got old enough- Chopper wasn’t allowed to have ANY toys- Millie would steal them all and hide/bury them. Sometimes even we couldn’t find them. Every now and then I’d get Chopper outside by himself and so I could throw a ball for him or tug a rope. If Millie came outside and saw it, our private game was over. And Chopper, despite being 4x her size was very gentle and passive towards her- he’d just give it up to her.

Every year for the past 12 years my wife has bought the dogs their own Christmas stocking full of dog toys & treats… halfway through Christmas Day, Millie would’ve destroyed most of her toys and stole most of Chopper’s and hid them.

This year my wife thought she wasn’t going to be buying a Christmas stocking for dogs, but yesterday she realized she was wrong- Ayrabella reminded her she’ll be buying one for Chillie.

Tom, you and David and all the other guys really are in the “Great White North” so far this year. Down here in the South… it’s going to get really cold for us. Thursday or so we’re going to hit negative temperatures. That’s just too cold for us. I hope we’re prepared… I just don’t have the equipment, gear, clothing, etc. I used to have when I lived up North. Folks down here say I’m used to the cold because I am from up North. Not anymore! I’ve lived here in the NWA for over 12 years now, to be more used to the summers here, you’ve got to give up what we used to be used to up there.

Up late with the kids have the oven heating up for some cinnamon rolls. Kids will go home early today then I will go to my VFW meeting.
