A Happy and Glorious Sunday indeed!
I have, for once in a long time, absolutely NO plans...
Idle hands are the devils workshop
So let's see what kind of mischief can get into today.

Good morning, Frost on the grass again this morning.
Today will involve talking blinds and valances down for window installation in the whole upstairs tomorrow. Looking forward to a winter without 1976 windows. Even now I can feel the cold rolling in off of them.
Will do some 10m shooting in the basement when time allows. I also have the barrel out of my 362, there seems to be port interference making hard to chamber pellets. I think this is why I get flyers or just can’t load some pellets. I don’t really feel a burr, but the far side of the port is silver. Hmmm.
I will check in on the NFL from time to time. The older I get the less I care about that.

I'm taking it easy after yesterday. My wife and I finished clearing the upper portion of the property (~ 15 acres with some frontage on the James River). It now resembles a wooded park, not a dense overgrown jungle of green-briar and poison ivy vines, ferns intermixed with poison oak, and blackberry underbrush amidst the cedar, locust, osage, and walnut trees.
To celebrate, I'm going to go look at a 2-blade walk-behind mower, get a couple more chainsaw blades, and find a new handle for one of my favorite axes. I also have some machetes that need some edge-work. We're looking forward to tackling the next section of the property.
I'm very much willing to bet we'll take advantage of the warmer weather today and take the canoe out, too.

Mornin y’all. Back at “work” today. I’m beat after our road trip so I’m hoping for an easy one. Because it’s a weekend I’ve got a partner for this shift so it should be pretty mellow. I’ll probably drive a couple of tour boats today and that is always fun. I’ve got some administrative tasks to take care of as well. Before I leave for work I’m gonna take the pups and a BB gun for a walk.

Betty Lou broke a back moler off and she's cutting her tongue on it. We need to get her to the dentist tomorrow. I'll have to bind and drag her. She hates the dentist but I can't see her miserable.
She has nursed me through the past couple month's worth of setbacks. I won't let her suffer.

Good morning GTA! Happy Monday! I woke at 0400, got up about 0430 and the heat is on. It’s going to get pretty cold the next few nights. And it’ll get back to about 80* by the end of the week, because it’s Arkansas. This morning I have a guy coming over to install my gps/camera in my van. And I have the newest new guy coming to pick me up for work. We have a pretty big PM to do on a site that’s been vacant for several years. Bill, I hope and pray for Betty L. to get taken care of and out pain.

Good morning GTA! Chilly Tuesday! I got up about 0430 and it's nippy out, It’s going to get pretty cold tonight they say, possibly down into the upper 20's tonight.
Today I'll be working on getting layers of paint off my younger daughter's front porch in preparation for painting. I've got to get together all the necessary tools and safety equipment.
Bill my prayers go up for Betty Lou and you too.

Thanks Dan... We're getting better each day.
Woke up at 4:30. Made coffee and fed the dogs. Let them out and they are back in and lounging.
It's only going to be in the upper 50's today and back into the 80's by the weekend.
I got Betty Lou's '03 GMC Sierra out yesterday. It hasn't been driven in a few months and the battery needed charged. It will be our atv and fishing vehicle. I worked out a deal to get the jon boat from my buddy and should have it by the weekend.
As expected, Betty Lou is being stubborn about the dentist.

I'll be having the most fun today. It's 55 and drizzling rain. Perfect weather for raking leaves! The rain keeps the leaves from blowing around and there will be no dust. They'll compact nicely in the compost pile. Cool temps and rain also keeps me from getting too sweaty. Later on I'll load up the trash and take it to the dump. Does life get any better?

Good morning GTA! It’s still morning, right? I got up early, 0333. It was chilly here, but not as cold as they said it’d be. I’m glad because I’m not ready for winter. I’m training the new guy for his second week of training. I’m taking it easy and letting him handle it, he’s capable and I glad. Doctor’s appointment this afternoon, my follow up with my orthopedic dr., so we’ll knock off about 1500 hrs.

I had $75 or so left on a couple Walmart gift cards and Betty Lou needed some stuff for the house so we took the GMC to the Troy, Al Walmart about 25 miles down the road. We road the back way home and the old girl did a great job. She'll make a good boat and atv hauler. She's Killer took good care of this old girl her whole life. She's got more than 280k miles on her and drives and runs as good as one half her age. The only thing missing is AC and that is not needed during her seasons of use. I put good tires and brakes on it and a fresh oil change.
My guy that did the oil change said she is solid as a rock underneath. No signs of leaks and no rust... no rust causing salt used here in the south.

Tennessee doesn't use much salt during a
typical
winter either.
The picture shows how they purchase their salt.

Good morning GTA! Happy Wednesday- it’s Hump-Day! Up at 0400 CT. This morning I have my 0600 meeting. Not sure after that. The office is short handed this week, they didn’t figure out dispatches for us and we’ve slowed down this week also. I’ll have to call in at 0800 to find out what we’re doing. It’s 32* right now, the coldest of our 2 day cold snap. Should get into the low 50*s later on. It’s still not as cold as they said it’d be and I’m glad for that.
