Good morning GTA! Happy Sunday! Bill, you’ll still be in my thoughts and prayers. I hope you get through the shingles quickly & heal. I went to bed early last night, I was tired. I woke up at 0330 and said “nope, not yet” and went back to sleep until 05-something. Today is the last day for the pool, next 2 weeks is supposed to be 70*s to low 80*s with the lows in the 40*s & 50*s. This morning I’ll hook up the hose to drain it. Then I have Sunday school at 0900 & Ch**ch at 1000 hrs. We’re going to watch the Nascar race later on. My wife made marinara sauce last night, today she’s making mozzarella sticks & hot wings. She forgot my blue cheese, I’ll have to get some on the way home from Ch**ch. In between I’ll take apart pool stuff and wipe it down for packing up. And Ayrabella & I need to replace a bird feeder the squirrels destroyed and feed the birds. I think I’ll set my XS60C out for targets of opportunity.

Yep, it's been a very strange turn of events. I think I'll start a back room thread for FYI purposes. Maybe helpful to some others because our forum is strong in the 50 plus age group and that age group is a prime target.
It will also free this thread up for what it was meant for.

Hope you get to feeling better Bill. Round 2 of hurricane prep, repair supplies and animal feed is on the shopping list. Got the new tire on the tractor yesterday and rounded up fuel for it. Get the generators ready, round up the chainsaw and charge batteries on them. Jockey boat and trailers to keep them from getting smashes with what trees I have left in the yard. Just another day in paradise.

Good morning GTA! Happy Monday!- up at 0430 CT. Back to the grind for me… My first call today is rather ridiculous. We replaced a rooftop air conditioner for this site in the middle of summer. They made me set their new thermostat for reasonable heat and cooling setpoints and install a lockbox on it. Some guy (joker) in the store put in a call to lower the air conditioning to 65*. I’m not taking the call too seriously… I’m hoping the actual store manager is there so I don’t put too much effort into this ridiculousness. Not sure what my day holds for me other than that.

Sounds like Bill is ready for the BIG VACATION!

I'll be doing Hurricane prep.  We're set at our place but a lot of my neighbors need help.  I'm committed to help take two boats out of the water and help board up some windows.  Probably be a lot of lifting and toting to do.  There are several very elderly people that live in our community and we'll be helping them out.  Oh yeah, gotta put in a full day at work first.

Got the bug out kit loaded.  We're just considering our options on where the party will be.  Evacuation/Vacation, can't beat it.

Robert... it has always been the plan to get out while the getting was good... health wise. This turn of events just gave me an early parole by about 6 months.
We plan to start a small mowing business and possible local air gun repair on the side. Lots of the old farmers and such around here have airguns for pesting in the chicken houses. The buy them at Walmart and just buy new ones when the fail. It would just be simple reseal and respring stuff. I have been asked many times to look at them but never really had time for it. Everyone around our small town refers to me as "The BB Gun Guy".

Oh, I didn't mean it in a negative sense at all because I read your posts about her and see that you are true mates. When you have the same goals and want to, it's not only easy but is fun most of the time! Congrats on the retirement and your opportunity to share it with your wife.

It's all a fair trade off.... she won't do mushrooms of any kind and I love them. She will fry me up a large portabella steak even if it makes her yak.

This is nice...
I'm in the bar/mancave enjoying a cold one and organizing the dumpster that it has become.
Betty Lou did all the bar glasses, dishes and coffee maker while I configured the new light bulb security camera and cleaned the workbench.
She commented "Now all we got left to do.... " I stopped her right there and reminded her to cool her tool, we have the rest of our lives. It's getting pretty warm in here and the new reduced budget will struggle to pay for these big a/c units.
Last thing I need right now is to get hot and sweaty and start digging at these rashes.
We have 3 laptops, 2 tablets, 1 desktop an Iphone and an Android. I need to set all of them to send everything to the 100gb cloud  so anything can be shared by everything.
The new PLZ cam will have it's own IP and we can get access from anywhere. It also has security alerts and motion detection. It will go into follow mode. Two way voice. Day/night vision and LED lights. It will light the whole interior of the bar when activated remotely. Snap still shots and record video. Now all we need is the stripper pole...
