Good morning GTA! Thursday all ready? Wow! Up at 0410 CDT. Just checking the forum for a few minutes before breakfast. Yesterday we  (carpenter friend any myself) started working at my younger daughter's house. There are quite a few things to do, some minor some major. Yesterday we started tearing out the bathroom fixtures and cabinets. Hopefully today we'll replace some rotted floor joints and subflooring.

I got up at 7:00ish this morning drank coffee until about 9:30 went to town and did yard work for 7 1/2 hours.

The weather was great for it, 60-70 degrees throughout the day.  I am beat now I really pushed myself to get it all done. It was all weeding, picking up leaves, debris and trimming shrubs, a long hedge and general clean up including the Driveway and carport. I filled/packed several 90 gallons trash cans with weeds. I think 10 years ago I could have done it in about 2 hours.

I feel old right now, my whole back is one big spasm and forearms are cramping now. 

 I am considering hiring out yard work, I have the money to have someone else do it. But I am stubborn when it comes to forcing myself to work regardless of my pain level. I don't want to quit pushing myself past what I should probably do in my condition. I also have the thought in the back of my head that less than a year ago my dad was doing this job and more, so I should be able to do it for years yet.     

OK so I am in pain but I am so blessed to be able to move. I escaped being paralyzed a few times in my life and I am thankful.

Headed to number 5 Chemo(out of 6)  and I received my results of a PET scan.... Almost clear! 
 2 tiny spots left to go! (and I showed loaded with it in December)

And get this darn Medi- Port out from under my skin.
 Then again, I'd do it again, to save me.
Was not in too good of a shape, at the beginning of all this.
 

Just read this Wendell, I very happy for you. Prayers answered for sure. I'll be praying for you as well for continuing healing.

I have a 3 hour ride to my first job, then an hour back to my second job, then 2 hours to my 3rd job and I’ll still wind up an hour and a half from home. I told the dispatcher last night- “one at a time”. That’s 7.5 hours of driving, but I’ve got to fix stuff and that takes time… my dispatcher literally thinks I’m just a truck driver. She’s not going to make it here much longer… We’ll see, but I’m going to roll out by 0500 and skip my chiropractor. I’ll be paying for it next week, and I’ll be on call too. I won’t be skipping next Friday.

Your dispatcher story reminded me of one my dad had when he was an auto damage appraiser for Farmers Ins. that would schedule him up to 8-9 hours of driving time per day. Once on his way home when he got to Palm Springs he stopped and got a room and went to a nice steak house and put it on his expense account. When they questioned his stopping an hour from home he just told them it wasn't safe to drive any further, and they couldn't object because of the miles he had driven that day. That instance  and the trouble she got into made the dispatcher vindictive though so she would do whatever she could to make his job harder.
 They used lease vehicles and he put 70,000 miles on them in 10 months several times qualifying him for a new car in less than a year. That caught the bean counters attention.

Don't give into temptation Dan stick it out and maintain your body strength/stamina. Pain is life we're not in heaven yet. If you lost your ability to do such work you'd not be happy with your decision to get others to do it.

Earlier this week I had the drive belt pop off the tension pulley thanks to a gumball and I don't have the arm strength I had last year to bend the pulley by hand to put the belt back on since it's the beginning of the season. I'm in pain from all the work I've been doing but pain is weakness leaving the body where it will build my strength back again. I notice at the start of each mowing season the chain saw and weed eater are harder to hold up but over time they feel lighter to carry. I need to start lifting weights during the winter to maintain my strength.

Good morning GTA! Happy Saturday! Up at 0445 CT. It just stopped raining for the weekend, it’s supposed to start again Monday. It’s supposed to be pretty nice today & tomorrow. If it dries out enough I might mow & trim today, if not I’ll do it tomorrow after Ch**ch. The girls are planning on cleaning in the kitchen & living room. If I’m going to shoot airguns, I’ll have to set up early this morning. Millie, my little dog is sitting with me while I’m having my second coffee. I had to go get her, she’s about 90% blind now. Chopper just doesn’t really come out with me in the morning, he waits for “Mom” to get up. This will be our last weekend, so plans are not concrete. Except whatever my wife deems we need to do. This is going to be a sucky weird week, Friday is going to be the day we let the dogs go. They’re not doing so good, but as good as to be expected to this point. The vet is going to come to our house Friday at 1130. So, I’ll have one more coffee with Millie this morning before I get moving.

Traded my 30 ft CrossRoads travel trailer for a 37 ft Cedar Creek fifth-wheel RV by Forest River with 3 slides. This is a much more livable unit with 2 A/C units a 15,000 btu for the living space and a 13,500 btu for the bedroom. The next couple of weeks will be spent setting up and settling in. The first project is the doggy area which includes part of the patio area so that I can let the dogs out and relax with my morning coffee and know that they are safe without the need for a leash.

Dudley now has a girlfriend Lizzie is a 9 month old Malti-Poo and she wants to play constantly so he is constantly looking for someplace that he can get a break from the pushy little girl.

I could do SO much (damage) with a BobCat tracked Skid-steer just like that... it makes my head spin!

Good morning GTA! Happy Sunday!!! Up at 0415 CT. Having coffee by myself in the garage. Millie came out with me for my first cup, but was restless. She can’t see, but she gets around. More so when I walk with her and talk to her. She went back to bed and got comfortable on my pillow. Chopper’s laying on the floor on “Mom’s” side of the bed. Yesterday was a good day. I mowed the backyard for the dogs. The rest can wait. I shot a little bit and left the range setup. Ayrabella wants to shoot some today. It’s supposed to be in the 70*s with very little wind, 2mph or so. We’ll watch Ch**ch online, hang out with the dogs and shoot a little.

Blue sky and it is already warmer at 8:45 than all day yesterday.

Spoke to my Savior, and thanked him for what he rewarded me with.
So now, let the shenanigans commence...
