Up a 4:00 am, garbage to the road, feed the zoo, tackle the last of the vehicle services. Saved the worst one for last, the van has to be partially dismantled to change the spark plugs, gotta love front wheel drive. Then get the oil and filter changed on it. Mow grass if time allows it. After all that, the air guns get some much needed love.

I remember that year, Tom.  Wasn't it like mid-May before all you snow had melted?
I would have a problem with that.  On April 8, we had a dusting and I almost went into shock!

Hi Mike.

It's 21F this morning with a 25mph wind speed and 7F wind chill. It snowed some last night, just a dusting of snow.  The roads are slightly snow covered and slick.
I still have my winter snow tires on our car. I had planed on having them off by now but I will wait another week or so.
There is still a little ice on some of lakes around here but it is nowhere near thick enough to go out and ice fish any more.
The lake ice should be all gone this year by next week.
You are right, in 2018 the ice was on the lakes until mid may.
It is still winter here but things warming up.
The weather is much worse in North Dakota, it is just as cold or colder and they are burried in heavy snow.
Just ask woogie_man.

Ice fishing is something I have not tried.  I would probably not be comfortable on the ice.  Being from south Louisiana, it just seems wrong.  Hee hee  Beside that, I am not mad at the fish any more.

Good morning all, I stayed in bed until 6:30 though I was awake at 3:32. The only reason I stayed in bed was it was warm and the house chilled. I left the windows and doors open a little too long yesterday as it cooled down in the evening. It was 42°F at 6:30 this morning. I really love our weather this time of year, I think it will get to 76°F today. I got side tracked yesterday I didn't do the lights, maybe today??

I rarely post my "plans" because I sway and swerve freely from them on and by every whim and distraction nowadays. I spent most of the day fiddling around in my tool shed and on the back deck yesterday. I fixed a few broken things and rearranged some stuff and cleaned up some pine needles. (pine needles never end) We have had just enough wind from the south lately to make a big mess of pine needles on the deck.

So my plans for the day are to do SOMETHING outside. I think I can/will do that. LOL
8:45AM and 53°F and I am ready to go at it soon. I'll start with a long sleeve shirt.

Yeah it is but it's got to be done, half the work is finding tools to take some of this stuff off without breaking something. I almost have a separate tool box made up just for the van.

Easter is a big day for wife and I.   I think we'll be having around 16 for sit down dinner.  Yesterday was grocery shopping.  Today we'll start some prepping and baking.  I also have to get the yard and outside areas presentable.   Tonight I'll drive into Boston and pick up my sister.  Tomorrow lots of prepping and baking.   Next year I'll buy 16 TV dinners, hand them out as people arrive and tell them where the microwave is.

She said, "we can just use these tonight."

I said, "okay but you're washing the dishes!"

We ate on the disposable plates.

We went one step further... We got rid of the sofa and love seat when we moved to this smaller place. Now we only have his and hers recliners. Folks don't stay love when the have to drag a kitchen chair into the family room to sit on.
We put the love seat down into the mancave. They are welcome to go out their to hangout if they like....
