Turns out my thinking was flawed. I got the tractor in and my mower too after I rearranged some items in there to make room. Should have done that years ago! Was a close fit with the tractor height wise with the folded bar but doable.

Good morning GTA! Got up at 0400 CT. It’s been raining since about 1100 hrs yesterday and looks like it’s going to keep raining until tomorrow morning. The temperature is just hanging at 50* and looks like it’ll stay there too until Friday, it might warm up a bit. We really needed the rain though. Today I have an ice machine I have to move about 4” left of where it sits. I’ll bring my 2 floor jacks and the guy that’s leaving us tomorrow will help me today. He helped me do this once before, but we have much less room to work with.

Kris it's always something with tractors. What are you fixing now? I need to have a look at my roll over bars to see how I can remove them because even when folded down I can't get my tractor in the shop as the bars are still too high.

It's more of a maintenance fix, need to adjust the pressure relief valve for the front end loader/ backhoe. It involves adding a few shims to the existing ones. The spring that holds the valve weakens after awhile and you have to add shims to bring the pressure up but not blow lines and the valve body. It's Kubota's safety for the hydraulic system.  What triggered that is the loader or the back hoe can no longer lift or dig. Right now I can barely get a bucket full of dirt off the ground so it's time to adjust. A hydraulic gauge and shims is all that is needed. A 17mm socket removes the spring housing. Kubota made it easy to access it so you don't have dismantle half of the tractor to get it out.

Mornin y’all.  Up at 0530 with Flash.  He’s better than an alarm clock! A 55 lb. dachshund on your chest at 0 dark thirty will motivate you to get up!   You see this big storm that has been working it’s way east finally got here. It’s pouring down rain and Flash hates rain!  So he is having a conniption fit.  I think he expects me to do something about the storm.  I was hoping to go hunting this a.m. but it looks like that is a wash out now.  It’s time for some Irish coffee.  Reckon I’ll get started on today’s buzz a little early!

This morning will be going to pack up the camping gear and heading out to the State Park for a long weekend.

Light rain forecasted for today and Friday but Saturday looks clear for "All Hallows Eve" festivities at the campground.
 We have 750 pieces of candy for the little Goblins... it may not be enough, we have ran out before.

Good morning GTA! I got up at 0430 CDT.  We had some high winds and rain late yesterday afternoon ending around 2100 CDT.  I had hoped to shoot a little today but the forcast shows high winds today so I'm not sure.  It's 60° now, a cold front must be slowly moving in with a high of only 66° forecast today. I'm ready for some cooler temps.

Dan a tree by my shop fell down in the high winds while I was in the shop. Almost pitched a fit before it even landed because I heard the loud break but I came out as it landed and saw a fence was not damaged so I didn't pitch a fit after all. It landed 3ft by the fence so that was a close call. Glad it didn't hit the fence, the shop or myself because I was right under where it landed yesterday a bunch of times while mowing. Hoping no other trees are down in the woods, especially on the fences. Will have to look tomorrow. A lot of limbs to pick up from the winds too.

Kris that's good. A easy and cheap fix is always a relief.

Up early listening to wind howl outside, more dead stuff to come down with the wind. I really do not want to spend the weekend cleaning up storm damage.

Gil, yes cheap, easy fixes are great, it's even better when you can do it yourself and not pay ridiculous parts and labor prices to do it. Also not have the equipment sitting in a shop for 3 or 4 weeks.

Good morning GTA! Happy Friday!!! Up at 0330 CT and… I barely got the sleep out of my eyes this morning, and with my first cup of coffee I ordered a RWS 3400 .177 from AoA! 
After my next coffee, I’ll get ready and head to my chiropractor, and then head towards Ft. Smith for my first job.
It sure is windy here too, it’s coming from the north and it’s going to stay just about 50* again. The rain is just about finished though. Looking forward to 60*s this weekend. Yesterday afternoon, I heard a pretty big tree behind or to the side of my house break and crash, but it was in the woods enough, I couldn’t make out where it was.
-Glad you’re safe, Gil, that sounds like it could’ve been bad.
-Kris, I sure hope you don’t have too much cleanup, if any, to do, seems like a never ending thing for you.

John, it's mostly small limbs right now, no trees to clean up but that will have to be addressed later on when the weather settles down enough for me to cut them down. Most of these are beetle killed after the storm which will be an on going process for a while with so many damaged and stressed trees in the area. Just one of the joys of living in a hurricane blast zone.

Gil and Kris, I'm sorry about the tree and limb cleanup you guys have facing you but glad it didn't didn't do any extensive damage. We had relatively high winds all day yesterday, it's weird how it was blowing.  Just about a constant 7-10 mph wind but it seems like every 10 minutes it would gust to 25 - 35 mpg for a few minutes then back down again to around 10.

I put a tailgate shock absorber on my GMC Sierra yesterday. Best $20 I've spent in a long time.

I woke up at 3:30 Pacific Time this morning, I'm still tired but can't sleep, so I got up. I will probably try to go back to bed for another hour before daylight???

Not a good night. Started waking up at midnight and woke up every hour and half since.
 Rained all night here at the campground.
Hard to tell now but I bet it's gonna be a muddy mess when the sun comes up.

Our national Conference was from Sunday to Wednesday, yesterday was recovery and wrap up.  Today, those of us who gave presentations get the day off, so I'm enjoying a relaxed morning.  I made coffee for Sonja (I stick to C4 energy drinks) at 5 AM, I made sure the pack of geriatric dogs AKA The old men all went outside for potty breaks, dried 'em all off (blustery wind and rain), ran out to Bojangles for a rare fast-food meal, got some extra biscuits for the boys, and now I'm contemplating my next move.  Flu shot is a given.  Be my first in 3 decades, but I promised Sonja I'd get one.

After that, gotta get the new tires mounted for the Husqvarna, run out to TSC for some essentials, and likely peruse Craigslist for materials and maybe I'll even find a replacement deck for the Troybilt.  A friend indicated he'll pass along a pair of lever-action 357s to me for free (one Marlin, one Winnie), so I'm gonna swing by the bank and get some cash because ya don't take something for nothing from a friend.   I'm also looking at that M25 at Krale; Sonja wants a bigbore and we both love our SPA guns so unless Manny is thinking of shrinking his armory, I'm likely going to pull the trigger reeeeaaaalllly soon.

Mornin y’all.  Up at 0600 this a.m.  Took the dogs for an amble around my permission.  Have to break out the pirogue!  It is truly wet out there.  I could have floated most of the trails.  Saw squirrels but none close enough to shoot.  I am determined to blood my .25 cal Hatsan 125 today so I will be going back out.

Good morning GTA! Up at 0445 CT. My wife has to work today and later our oldest daughter, SIL and grandkids are coming over for a family (Halloween, if you will) pizza party. I’ll do some straightening up around the house with Ayrabella today. But the winds are supposed to be fairly calm and the temps about 60*… so I’m planning on getting a bit of shooting in there too. Ayrabella & I will feed the birds & deer when the grass dries out some. My wife’s picking up the pizzas after work and the kids should be here about 1700. Should pretty much be chaos after that.

Good morning GTA! Woke up at 0400 CDT but fell back asleep for almost an hour. At 0500 I was walking around outside in the chill of the early morning. It about 50° out looks like its only going to get to 67° today, partly cloudy today. It's still a little windy, weather app says 7 -10 mph all day today.  Either I'll add to the range or shoot some.

Up and hit the ground running. Today is tear the front off the truck day. The ball joints and bearing hub get replaced. Found a dry patch of ground to do the work. I am in no hurry with this, I get one side done today that will be fine. Just get it done right and safely as well.

Yes, I do it myself. I guess you can call me a "shade tree" mechanic, I am self taught. Got tired of the repair shops taking me to the cleaners. Between the service manuals and YT I have been able to make the repairs without the expense and half done repairs.
