Good morning GTA! Up at 0500 CT. My daughter texted at 0515 that her car was acting up and asked to borrow our car to drive to work. I said sure of course, so I go out to get to see if it has gas in it. To my surprise,  our car wouldn't crank! What? Well I had been needing to put a battery in it but I just haven't got to it. So I'm letting her borrow my pickup and of course it needed gas. So I quickly ran to the station and filled it up.
I'll pick up a battery today for our car today.

Hey...that explains it. What else is instore for me today? I might not need to shoot my airguns this morning,  might shoot myself in the eye.

Yesterday when shooting my R7 .177 I came to the last pellet in my pellet tin. 

I grabbed three new tins of FTT 4.52 / 8.64 pellets.  These were new tins but odd lot numbered and since I know each lot shoots a tiny bit different so I was wanting to find one that shot as close to POA as the tin I just finished. 

I shot some from each of the new tins. I had a Goldilocks experience, the last tin I tried was the chosen one. Only one click of elevation and back shooting nickel size groups at 30 yds.

Only worked a half day today.  Left at noon with a tooth ache.  I just took a pill, now I’m gonna take a nap.

Oh one other thing happened Bill, my house A/C stopped cooling.

Good morning GTA! Up at 0240 CT.  Our A/C stopped cooling last night around 2200 hours. We keep our thermostat at 74°, and it took me a couple of hours to get to sleep with the ceiling fan blowing full force. Well I woke up hot at 0230 and couldn't get back to sleep.  I checked the temperature and it's 76° in the house so why am I hot? Must be psychological,  my brain knows the A/C is on the fritz so it's telling my body that it's hot. Weird huh?

I am up at 4:45 reading your tale of woe. If I was closer I could fix it for you. If you decide to wait on the repairs I will have my HVAC tools in the travel trailer and can look at it all you would have to do is feed me dinner and a couple of Corona Lites. You would pay for the parts and I provide the skills

Mornin...
 Saturday and I woke up at 4:04 unable to go back to sleep. I injured my right shoulder two weeks ago and thought it was getting better, but MAN it was not good sleeping on that side.
Plans today are to pick up fallen limbs from the daily storms we been having, mow, clean the garage, and shoot... But we will see how that goes.

Up at 4:30 to the sound of thunder, how far off I wonder. Dealing with an inner ear flare but no vertigo this week, had enough of that last week. Prepping for the great flood again, waiting to see if Fred will turn into Frankenstein this week. Just what I need more flood and storm damage clean up to deal with. Does anybody know where the off switch is for the rain.

Thanks Don. I'm afraid the A/C had spoiled me, and unless you can get down here today I'm afraid I'm gonna have to take a rain check on your offer. 

I've gota friend, Charlie, who just retired from his own HVAC repair business who will come check it out for me. He's the one who installed the one we have now. His oldest daughter and our oldest daughter are BFFs. 

If Charlie can't get to it his son Ben is in the HVAC business as well.

Good morning GTA! Up at 0600 CT. It’s not been the hottest year ever, but it’s been pretty hot. I hope you get your AC running again, Dan. I got a friend’s going yesterday after work. It was just the compressor’s capacitor, stone cold dead. Put a new one in for 10 bucks and running like a champ. My own AC quit a few weeks ago, I bypassed the power monitor and she’s been running since. I still need to order a replacement, it’s a good safety device that has worked well for me until this.

With all that said, for today, I don’t want to work too much. My lawn is about 90% burnt up and hasn’t grown much at all. We haven’t gotten much rain in some time, and when we have it’s been very little. I’m going to wait until Thursday, my first day of staycation, to cut & trim it. My wife wants to sleep in, she’s covering for a nice lady at work from 1600-close. Tonight is also our monthly Barn Meeting. So I’m planning on getting out early with my air rifles this morning. I’m going to start with the FWB Sport, of course. 

I hope you can heal & heal quickly front that shoulder, Scott. Definitely need to be careful how you sleep to recover and not inflict more pain on yourself. Easier to say than do, when you’re talking about sleep.

One must remember to ask friends if their first two cups of coffee have started to fire up the grey matter yet. Then ask about the favor you so desperately need done.

Good time to be in the AC repair business I think!  Sorry you are having issues Dan.  Late field today.  I’ll be out in the heat all day but at least I’ll be moving.  I was stuck in the sweat box (ranger station) on Tuesday.  No insulation, inadequate air conditioning, it was about 115 in there with all the electronics running.  I took a stool outside where it was cooler.
