Might as well just plan on 4 new tires due to age not tread depth, and repacking the wheel bearings.
Don't forget to sanitize the fresh (potable) water tank / system before use.

Good morning GTA! Happy Friday!!! We made it! Up at 0415 CT. I was having coffee with the dogs, but they went back to bed. I’m enjoying this cooler weather, 67* this morning. I’m having another Cup o’ Joe and I’ll get ready. I have my chiropractor visit first thing, then an hour ride for a cooler/freezer that’s leaking water. Who knows after that? My dispatcher did the same thing I’m doing in 2 weeks. She took 3 days vacation plus the weekend, I told her we were so screwed, but I get it. Most of us have hit that annual burnout stage. I’ve decided and declared I’ve got 5 years left in me, not one day more past my 55th birthday will I do what I’m doing. This weekend, besides airguns, I have to start making a 5 year plan. I really need to figure out what I want to be when I grow up.

Good morning GTA! Up at 0515 CT. I’m looking forward to cooler weather, too John. Yesterday morning it was 65° when I got up back up to 72° this morning.

Yesterday was pretty nice here, Brother Dan. It was 64* when I rolled out & overcast all day.

John, I hit 55 and covid took my job so I transitioned to the "from here to retirement" job this year. I don't miss the 24/7, always on aspect one tiny bit.

I made it to 60 before my back blew up then I moved into the office sort of. Then another 4 1/2 years as a field service supervisor before I moved out of the field completely after that two more years as a commercial estimator. The last 2 years I have been semi retired.

Wife and I are 58 and last year we made our "10 year plan"... $:-\$

Today I am in a GREAT mood!
Clear sky's, 60 degrees this morning hardly any humidity.
Half day vaca scheduled at work so I will be leaving at 11:00.

Bad news is, that is because at 2:00 I will be grilling / cooking / serving at the golf course for one of their biggest events of the year.
Hoosier Momma has been prepping for it all week. We both will be glad when it's over but it probably won't be until late...

I’ve already retired once! It didn’t stick. Sometimes the summer heat can be a pain but I’m gonna do this until I expire. At least I won’t have to worry about that Medicare/Medicaid mess!. The wife and I will have my full state insurance coverage!

Thanks for all your insight & experience, Fellas. I won’t be able to retire, but I’m not going to be able to do, nor want to do what I’m doing after 55. Don hit the nail right on the head, we have similar backgrounds in HVAC/R. My field has always been commercial/industrial. These past 11 years has been all commercial/retail. The pace and scope of work being remote is just too much. My hips, knees, shoulders & back, not to mention my mind are wrecked doing this. I may also be able to stay in the industry doing something else, due to my experience. I expect a pay cut, but it’ll be worth it. I’ve thought about being my own boss again, if I can afford startup when the time comes. I’d like to do something I like doing for about 10 years.

I am usually doing this thread backwards (not plans but after it's done)So keeping with that form.

I woke at 5:00 and had busy day today. I wore a suit and tie, which is really rare for me.

My dad got married today, I was in the wedding and dressed as he wished. My wife and I got home at about 5:30 PM.

On June 29th 2002 I officiated as my dad and mom renewed their vows on their 50th anniversary in the same Church Building and then they had another 18 years together before my mom passed last year from Alzheimer's. Those last years really took a toll on my dad but he took care of mom up through her last day fulfilling his vows.

I now have a Step-Mom who was widowed eight years ago and I believe her and my dad are good for each other. It's good to know that he is not lonely now. My hope and prayer is that all their days are fill with the joy that they obviously had today.

They lived 88 miles apart so now they can spend less time driving, LOL.

Thanks Don, I know you didn't choose your situation and it has to be very hard to read about others that are in better situations and wonder why not me. I could not help but think of how it might effect you to read it as I typed it and paused and prayed for you. All I can say is I hope and pray your new life going forward is better than all that you have had in the past and full of joy too.

Eventually, I will find someplace that I can maybe meet someone to share whatever time the guy upstairs has written into my book. I'm sure that I can be happy again right now I am working through the sadness and sense of betrayal. Right now I feel that I have outlasted my usefulness. I made it possible for Kathy and my stepsons to have good lives while I have shared my life with Kathy. She was able to become a BSN which would never been possible without me.

Good morning GTA! Up at 0430 CT. Hopefully I can get out early and enjoy the morning with my R9 - .177. My UTG 3-12x44 started acting up and now I've got a new Hawke Airmax 4-12x40AO on top now. My Sports Match TO4C mounts were creeping back on the dovetail but following Ron's (Bayman) instructions that is fixed.

I received a return authorization number from Leapers to return my scope for warranty replacement or repair and I plan to pack it up and mail it off today.

Good morning GTA! Up at 0500 CT. My wife works today at 0800. And Chopper, my big dog, has to visit the vet at 1000 hrs. Of course, I’ll do the chauffeur’ing. Ayrabella & I have to feed the birds & deer today. And of course, the plan is that we’ll shoot airguns all day around all that. After coffee -I’ll get dressed, pull the car out & setup the range. My second scope ring for the Sport shows it’ll be here tomorrow. But I intend to dial in the scope at 30 meters anyhow and shoot some groups to see what she can do. When I have both Burris rings, I’ll mount them and should be shooting just a bit high, re-zero’ing should be no big deal.

I find it therapeutic, and I find that it trains my eyes to look for even the babiest of weeds, lol!

My ex used me and my family to better her life too then when she felt the blood dried up she leeched onto someone else. No good deed goes unpunished is a old saying for a reason because it's true. That's the problem today people are betrayers using one another for what they can get out of them instead of loving them like they vowed to do before God and families. Unfortunately it's no better with Christians than it is with non Christians as both have high divorce rates. She's not a person of her word and is not loyal therefore she's not worth the trouble of having. Better to live alone than with a woman like that. It's good living in peace and having the freedom to do as you see fit. Don't stay bitter as it only poisons you not her. Forgive so you can move forward in peace and be glad you're no longer entangled with a person like that. Her situation does not sound like a formula to obtain happiness either.

I'm sure not. That's why I just bought an F150 SXT to tow the 30 ft travel trailer that I just put a deposit on. Once I have all my ducks in a row I will leave her and NY state in my rearview mirrors
