Got home from camping and am washing/ drying clothes, washed the car and camper, shot a few 46gr slugs then drilled hollow points, accuracy looks good at 50 yards with a stiff breeze.

Momma came out to shoot the Diana, she did very well!

Set up the trail cam fof one more shot of Boo Boo them we pull all the feeders.

Good morning GTA! Up at 0400 CT. This morning we’ve got a 0730 service meeting before we go to our first call. I’m training the new guy this week. Yesterday wasn’t too bad. They rescheduled that crane lift due the rain. But we had a 3.5 hour drive to the job we wound up doing. Overall it went well. Today, after our meeting, we have a cooler leaking water. I’ll let the new guy have at it and I’ll see what he does. Not a bad way to start this day.
On another note-
My wife went to the doctor yesterday for her shoulder that’s been bugging her for months. Doctor says she’ll need surgery for a torn rotator cuff. She wants to put it off for awhile because of her new job. I really don’t know how far out she can put this thing off, but she’s thinking til fall. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see how that goes.

Got a good nights sleep, up at 7, coffee, pulled pix from the trail cam, no bear last night, just a bandit. Heading off to work in a bit, going to be nice with a high of 73 and sunny, low humidity.

From myself and everyone else here that's had shoulder surgery, tell her not to put that surgery off. I'm just one of the many, but put off even seeing a Dr for close to a year thinking it was just sore muscles because of my job. Long story short, by the time I finally went to one, got everything looked into, MRI's done and saw an orthopedic surgeon, I got to find out I tore way more than just the rotator cuff.

His first words after looking at the pics were "Looks like you hit a home run", then proceeded to walk me through those MRI pics and show me everything I'd completely torn over that almost year of ignoring things and what I was about to get the joy of looking forward to for the next year plus of my life. Wasn't a nice list.......

Get it done, get through the PT, do every last thing they tell her too or from at least my own personal experience, it's only gonna get worse.

Waiting for the great flood to recede, over 10 inches in 3 days and more this morning. So much for yard work this week. On the bright side, I don't have to water anything for a day or two.

Good morning GTA! Up at 0500 CDST. Been busy on little tasks.  I cut the limbs that were in the way when I shoot at my 100 yd gong. Very humid outside.  Last night it was forecast to be raining but it has just drizzled so far.

John, sorry to hear about Andi's shoulder pain.  Steve is right in saying that delay may cause more injuries to her shoulder. 

I'm sure you'll ask the Great Physician for guidance. Then you two can go forth as you feel lead.

Kris I'm sorry your having to deal with downed limbs and the flooding from all this rain. I know you've had problems since the last hurricane's destruction.

I live on a hill and we have been here since 1978 and NEVER before have we had this much rain this time of the year.  Every time I mow my 7 acres I get bogged down at least once and that has NEVR happened in May and June.

Two weeks ago it was so dry the grass was dying around here, now the other extreme. Waiting on getting whacked by hurricane now. It won't matter what category it will be there is going to be damage one way or another. The joys of living on the gulf coast.

Morning all.  Lots of lovely rain this morning!  Good for my garden!  Off to the big city today to take our SIL to the bus station.  He is headed back to Texas, gainful employment, and normal life.  Our daughter will stay with us and continue to work and save money a while longer.  Once the kids have their own place to live and jobs again I will heave a huge sigh of relief.  They have been living with us since they both lost their food service jobs last September.  It has actually been a lot of fun having them home but I’m ready to get MY life back.
I intend to hit as many sporting goods and department stores as possible this trip and hopefully score some pellets!

Just woke up 10 minutes ago.
It is zero dark thirty again. (4:27am). 
I am going to have a bowel of porridge for breakfast.
As soon as it is light enough to see, I am going for another bike ride.
It will be a nice cool ride this early (53 F) but later on the temps are going back up in the 90 F. range.

Thanks for the insight & encouragement Steve & Dan. I don’t think she should put it off too long either.
Training the new guy is going pretty well. Monday was kind of rough with 7 hours travel & 7 hours of work. But yesterday we were local. 4 jobs to hit, and 4 jobs completed.
Today we have a decent size compressor to change out on the roof. I have my 0600 meeting and then I’ll pick up my help and the compressor. Hoping we can knock this out in half the time it would take me by myself. We dropped his van off for service. We'll have to pick it up sometime today, hopefully by the time we’re done with the first job.

Up in time to get trash to the road before 6 AM.
It had "rained" during the night and the ground/parking lot was still wet. soon as I was back it the house it started drizzling. The forecast shows it over with by 8 AM, It will be dry very soon, this was a nice welcome change though even it it was just a small fraction of an inch. The humidity right now shows as 51% on my weather station  . I had planned to wash and polish one of my motorcycles this morning, and may still after the rain/drizzle is gone. I finally got around to cleaning the reservoir flushing the rear brake system and putting the new reservoir cap on it late yesterday afternoon, when it cooled down to 80 I started and it was 74 by the time I finished. The neighbor is complaining about Dave's dog barking which I have heard very little of. I need to see Dave and try to find a boarding place for his dog today too. I don't know if that will be possible since I don't have the dogs medical background info for his dog and I am sure he doesn't keep records either.

Good morning GTA! Up at 0400 CT. I’m not used to working with a second guy this much. It’s going good, and we’re knocking out a lot of work. You’d think I’d take it easy, but I want to make sure he gets started on the right foot. So today we’re going to start early, I’m going to pick him up at 0630. I just realized I didn’t get my “jumpers” back from him and I’m pretty sure that job with the compressor we put in has been running AC all night. I’m going to have to leave even earlier to go get my jumpers off that machine before the customer walks into a meat locker. That’s the other disadvantage of having 2 techs work together who assume the other guy did something you would’ve normally done yourself. Probably going to head out at about 0515.

Good morning GTA! Up at 0600 CT. I can't remember the last time I slept that lare. I feel like I'm running behind all ready. I had to remind myself that I am retired,  that it's okay.

John I'm glad the new guy's working out,  it really sounds like you needed the help. I  also hope your wife is enjoying her new new job.

I cut my daughter's yard and the yard I cut for hire yesterday so I'm about to start on mine now. With the heat I'll probably divide it up and cut half today and half tomorrow.

Morning all.  I am officially “between jobs”.  My new position doesn’t start until 7/2.  This morning the memsahib and I are going to the hospital so I can have hernia surgery!  Another middle aged milestone!  I’ll be kicking back for the next week convalescing.

Slept in until 0700....sure was nice!

We have had a week without rain, so I have been getting some demo time in before the day heats up. All the exterior wall sheathing is down now, the trim boards, and most of the roof rafters. I will work at least a few hrs out there this morning. Hope to start on dismantling the wall framing.

The son took me out for dinner last night (birthday and mom day). He is now officially engaged after about 10 years if singlehood.
