My wife's ETA home is now not 7:00 but 9:00 P.M. I have traveled with the grandson that's driving so I know he drives with the fastest traffic flow, but when he stops he takes too long to get going again. I had to really push him to get back on the road every time. He adds hours to a trip with his long stops. I kept telling him when we are stopped we are not making any miles. I would rather make more quick stops than stop for long stops, but I do like to keep moving more. On a good note the house will look real good to her when she walks in.
Dan, I hope all is well. Quote from: Rabbit\Squirrel Killer on February 11, 2021, 09:17:47 PMMy wife's ETA home is now not 7:00 but 9:00 P.M. A good quality oil to start with like castrol oil will make things go a long way. I have found that additives in the crankcase cause more harm than good in small engines. I use seafoam religiously as a gas additive to remove water, keep gas fresh longer, and reduce the varnish build up in carburetors. Keep in mind that ethonol in gas will break down older gaskets in small engines, the newer gaskets prevent that. As for getting gaskets removed, a sanding disc designed to remove material and not eat the surface. This is my experience with small engines over the years, I have engines that are 10 to 20 years old and never had to replace gaskets on any of them.https://www.3m.com/3M/en_US/company-us/all-3m-products/~/Scotch-Brite-Roloc-Gasket-Removal-Disc/?N=5002385+3293083758&rt=rud
Dan, congrats on the puzzle! 30 years or not, thats a mighty fine way to spend some time together. Broken record here but a new LOW of -22 F this morning with two more days of increasing lows, get ready for it....Saturday, -23 FSunday, -24 FMonday (drum roll) -25 F, actual air temp!!This will be the coldest the longest since 1974. A new record! Out to fill the boiler, no exposed skin! Oh, last day of work this week and I get 2 days off!!
Waking up to a soggy, foggy morning, 63 here now. Having to run the AC, this weather has gone from one extreme to another. More rain on the way this morning. Feed zoo and then to work, come home this afternoon and reassemble the base for the shop toy.Very nice puzzle there Dan, what wonderful way to spend time with misses in yucky weather.

I can't begin to imagine those temperatures, what has happened to global warming? I fear for many up near you who may not be prepared. Hunker down David and enjoy you weekend in the warmth.

Thanks Kris, we've learned a lot about each other that 47 years of marriage hadn't revealed. Seems I'm better at putting the waves together and Pam is better at putting the sky together.
