Good Morning GTA! Up at 0345 CST. Big day today- chiropractor this morning (haven’t been since around Christmas). Then my 1st call is in Charleston, 1 1/2 hour ride, not looking forward to what I may be getting into, especially on a Friday. But I am on call this weekend, so it is what it is. And I need to put some money away for a new scope and hopefully, my next rifle by my birthday.

Good morning. I woke up at 0330 but managed to fall back asleep till 0415 cst. Today we take Lorelei to school again, we'll pick her up at 0630 and drop her off at 0700.  Then drive across town to Walmart to pickup our groceries curbside.
Today the forecast show sunny and high of 55° but the winds will be higher than yesterday NNW at 15 mph gust to 23 mph. I shot my 1377 yesterday, today I may walk the woods trail around the property with my 50.

The week has gone by too quickly. I like working from home, and it is supposed to last till the end of the month. But the people that are on sight had a positive this week, plus the state isn’t getting any better, my bet is I’ll be home well into February.

FedEx still hasn’t gotten my pellets to me. Tracking show several departures and arrivals in the same town. Seems efficient, no? Not out of pellets, just trying to build inventory of that new fangled 22 cal.

I haven’t shot for a few days so I figured I would make some holes. Well it looks like my guns and I are complete strangers and I became frustrated very quickly. So I played fetch with my cat instead. My dogs won’t play fetch, but this goofy kitty has to play several times a day, or he won’t leave me alone. It’s like he is one of the cattle dogs we used to have.

All the recent threads on HW50s are killing me. When I started here the choices were 30, 50 or 95. I now have the 30 and 95, but just can’t get that tweener 50 out of my head. Not sure I would survive the wrath of my controller.

Oh well, may be I will introduce myself to my rifles again today, maybe not.

I feel your pain Kurt. SteveP-52 sent some Falcon pellets for me to try. He shipped them through the post office on the 4th. Look at what the USPS tracking shows this morning. Today is the 15th, no movement since the 4th.

Scope a .177 Crosman G1 Extreme a bud gave me. Chrony it and see how it shoots. Scope an old .22 WF600P (B3 w/ plastic stock and safety). Had it a few years, been setting awhile. Chrony it see if it does okay.

I have an old Crosman Storm wood stock I want to see if the G1 will fit and if it does refinish the Storm stock for the G1. I prefer wood. Also have a .177 B21 (D48/54 clone). A tac driver. Metals okay but the stock is beat up and needs refinishing.

The other day I got a Romanian Pioneer. Put a little BSA 2x20 pistol scope on it with a barrel mount and two small picatinny rings. Eye relief was okay but it shot all over. Tried a bunch of different pellet. Shot around 450fps. Got a tight 3 round group with a couple of flyers with Gamo Match W/C's. I going to try a AIM 3-7x32 scout scope on it with a one piece offset mount.

Don't think I can do all that today. Later.

Today I am going to shoot some airguns for sure, perfect weather if the wind does not show up. Mid eighties and dry is very nice, we do have a red flag warning for Santa Ana winds so SCE might cut our power off. There is a brush fire that started at 1:30 this morning 20 miles away so that probably will have SCE trigger happy for the cut off switch even though the way the terrain is it can be still here while the wind blows over there, if it happens I will deal with it. I have the generators ready and Gas ready too. We have wind predictions of no more than 15 MPH later today.

Been the same old "weekday Grind" here.
Wake up, coffee, check GTA, kiss the dog, pet the wife, then off to work.

Come home, eat supper, check GTA then kiss the dog, pet the wife, and go to bed.

One thing worth posting was last night, I slept through the entire night!
Normally I wake up 3-4 times starting at 1:00 am but last night I slept the entire time until the alarm clock went off at 5:30

I Went on a nice 270 mile motorcycle ride today we went to the east side of the Salton Sea made a big loop around it.

You are truly blessed.  I envy you.

Yep, we have to take the Good with the bad. It sure is easier to "take" the good though. We stopped to eat and had to eat great Mexican food outside in the shade where it could not of been nicer, thanks Covid. Speaking of Covid we are all over it now and feeling fine again.

Update plans changed, I am going to ride to the beach today. A grandson needs to go pick up a check about 10 miles from the beach, so I will ride along and we will go down to the beach for a little while. It's near impossible to turn down a riding to the beach, LOL.

Sometimes I don’t get any calls, so I just hang out and read. I can do little things, like straighten up the garage, which I may do. And that’s the nice thing about airguns, I have some steel targets I leave out all the time. Just load a pellet and pop a shot and go on.

A little fresh snow on the ground, still coming down.

No real agenda today, but that can change real fast. Mmm, sounds like she is awake.

I keep seeing those $40 reformed Turks, I be signed up for every one on their site. They emailed me on one, 85 in 177,but that’s not what I want.
I want o try a 25 for $40, heck I’d go $60!
I think it would be fun to take apart and mess with. Strange wanting 25 when I don’t even have tin through my first 22.

Good plan. Never occurred to me to put them on the blower.

Yes sir I took it down.  It wasn't the HW50 that caused me to take it down; after the purchase of the two Walther Parrus, the D460 I guess I fell in love with the quality of German workmanship. 

I love the D34 clones I have, I love my Browning Leverage but I'm thinking about thining the herd.  I haven't decided which will stay and which will go. I still love my refurbs,  and will keep most.

But you're right that the HW50 made me open my eyes.
