It is insurance renewal time on the trucks. I paid the Titan off today. It took me all of 5 minutes to call my insurance company and have the coverage reduced. I hung up the phone, logged into my account and it was already updated. How rare is that? I haven't even signed the documents yet. My insurance premium was reduced by half.

I have very little plans for the next day and a half.  After that it's a 32 hour work marathon that ends 11pm Christmas eve.

Are you scrapping that stuff Bill?  Our landfill here charges for everything but the scrap yard will usually pay me something for it.  It ain't much but it flat  beats paying to dump it.

Hurray..it's officially Thursday. As you can see my Thursday started Early.
It as been snowing since around 8 am yesterday and will continue to snow until 8 am today.
I got a jump on the snow blowing and went out at 9:45 pm, blew snow for 2 1/2 hours.  I just now came in.
I'll be going back out at 8 am and blow some more snow.
Hopefully the snow plow will come by while I am out, so that I can get the drift he leaves at the end of the driveway clean up too.
The big wind starts tomorrow and the Really Cold weather hits too.
I then be fighting wind driven snow drifts for the next 2 1/2 days.
I was fairly warm out working tonight.
Not much wind and the temps weren't all that bad.
Tomorrow the Cold will be a much different story....
I'm..73 years old and I can still put in a good hard days work and get it all done.
I'll be up on the roof Saturday clearing that all off ...that is ...IF the Wind lets me.
(if it is still blowing 35 to 60 MPH I won't be able to do that.)

 Wow thats great work you did removing the snow. Up here it is around -3F' and 25- 30 mph wind from the E-NE. Here the forecast shows alot of wind till monday.
  After the storm coming down from Canada has passed that area and weather is safe to headout, checkout the fresh snow in the areas you hunt, you should find fresh tracks and trails of whatever animals that roam your areas..
  Wish you all good and be safe with all that cold weather in your areas.

Same here, window ACs go for $5, fridges and freezers go for $10 to $15 depending on size. Tipping fees have gotten ridiculous around here.

The landfill is free on the second Saturday of the month. My 16' trailer is $20 on other days and it's maybe 2 miles down the road from us. The scrap yard is 20 miles and they are very picky about what they accept. I took a load of aluminum cans some time back and it barely paid the gas. A year or so ago the place burned down and I believe there was something shady about it. They don't do a good job of cleaning up either and flat tires are lurking everywhere. The landfill does a great job at keeping the roads and dumping area clear.

That is great if they have a free day for that area and being close to home and no flat tires that's even better.

Good morning GTA! Happy Thursday! I slept in until 0600 CST. I’m pretty sore from pounding t-posts and running fence, but it’s done and I’m glad. No real plans for today, the snow hasn’t happened yet, I’m starting to doubt it will. But it is windy and the temperature is dropping fast. I guess we’ll just have to see. I’m watching the radar and I see nothing.

Me and Boss went out for a walk about this morning. No wind and the temp is about 47. The cold is supposed to blow in this evening and last through Christmas day. I went to the barn and the John Deere 1630 tractor took 1/2 gallon of anti freeze to top it off. The ATVs were good. I just topped them off a couple months ago. I'll add some to the tank and bowl in the bar toilet because there won't be any heat on in there.
Tonight I will drip the faucets in the bar, barn and Red Shed. The large propane tank for the house and Red Shed is at 50% so we're good until next month. I'll fill that and we'll have plenty to finish this year and get halfway through next winter. We don't use much, this small place is easy to heat and we are more than comfortable at around 68*.
I'm contemplating that run to the landfill, if Betty Lou ever gets motivated.

 Big fluffy flakes falling ATM, deceiving and surreal, I thought I heard Charlie Brown jazz playing when I looked out the window. Later on the winds and snow will get bad though.
 Have plans to tinker in the basement range, and regrouping for the remaining hunting opportunities that remain.

-15°F actual air temp this morning, 11mph wind feels like -31°F.

Wood boiler burned down to ash, cold start this morning, shame on me! We have about 16" of actual snow depth on the ground right now, another 4" or so dropped last night and I will need to plow that off the driveway and from the polebarn today.

I am going to get the scrap metal out of my truck before lunch time and we are suppose to meet with my step mother for lunch today. I hope her and my wife have a conversation while I just get to eat. I picked Richie's Diner as the place, so I know I will enjoy the food anyway.
 This lunch was her idea and I really don't enjoy being around her much.    Hey, but I do like that I got to pick the place so at least the food will be good.

It's 39°F at 7:38 AM and the high is suppose to be 71° today.

Mornin y'all.  Driving boats again today.  Last tour yesterday was cold and dark.  Not a gator to be seen.  Same again today.  Fortunately the big gray sweet potatoes (manatee) are everywhere.  I've been negotiating with a fellow on line about buying a couple of air rifles but I'm getting more and more suspicious as we correspond.  He doesn't answer specific questions about the guns and has only provided some blurry photos.  I asked a make or break question via email and if he doesn't give me a straight answer I'm not buying.
