Got a meeting today with some folks that want to have a private party in the bar/mancave. The girl's brother has a small band and they want to check out where to set the band up.

I'm gonna hang a new 55"x 36" smart mirror in my newly remodeled bath room. I'm a little apprehensive of hooking up the electric tho.

I am taking a day off "mostly" It's rainy but should be clearing out in a few hours. The 10 day is looking good albeit a little cool.

39°F at 9:30 AM makes me fairly certain the nearest mountains got some snow. Right now I can't see the mountains for the clouds and rain.

If the thermostat I order gets here I will take it to my place in town and install it. I ordered an exact replacement and it just plugs in to the wall bracket, no wiring to hook up.

I hope that is is all it needs, if not I will call someone to fix it because I don't want to mess with it.

When the clouds cleared a bit I can see that there is snow 3-5 miles away in the foothills and there was also a little bit on top of the hill across the road from us. That's less than a mile but it is at 3,307ft about 1600 feet higher than my place. I would be surprised if it didn't snow here at my house overnight, but then it rained. This is a pic of just east of where I live taken from our parking lot.

Good morning GTA! Happy Tuesday! Slept in until 0500 CST. Today I’m helping the newest guy with some heat repairs on a couple rooftop package units. It was supposed to be raining this morning. But, it’s been really windy since yesterday afternoon and I guess it pushed that rain out faster than expected. I’m glad because I don’t like to be on a metal roof when it’s windy and raining. I think I’ll have one more coffee before I get moving.

We don't see much snow in these parts. It took a bit of getting used to, coming from mid to upper Ohio 10 or so years ago. The biggest thing was Christmas decorations with no snow and folks in shorts, tee shirts and flip flops setting them out and hanging them.
It will be 65* today but we are expecting rain and a cool down tomorrow. Mid to low 50's by the end of the week.
No special plans for today... need to go get bread and milk.

Woke up to 27f and more snow expected though no accumulation. Still a few patches left over from Sunday night early Monday. High of 37f expected. Might drag out the chainsaw and cut down another dead tree.

I woke up at 5:30 today. It was about 36°F the high today is suppose to be 54°F.
The next 9 days our highs will be low to mid 60°'s F
The surrounding mountains all got some snow and the views of the white mountains are real nice. It almost makes me want to go to the snow, nope, this distance is good enough.   


The thermostat didn't make it here yesterday so when it gets here I will take it to my place in town and install it.

Another glorious day in paradise.  Mid sixties this a.m.  Sunny and warm all day. Pleasantly cool this evening.  I may build a fire in the fire pit and sit outside for a while.  I worked on paperwork all day but tomorrow and Wednesday I'm driving boats.

I found some work to do outside. It was a flannel lined shirt day. I haven't gone to town yet and think I will skip it tonight. The mail (USPS) was late, just got here at 4:45 PM. We have a new carrier and he is several hours slower on this route.

Good morning GTA! Happy Wednesday! Well, as we got to the job yesterday- it started raining and lightning, it rained all day until about 1430 hrs. So, we get to do it all over again today, same job. I got up at 0400 CST. I’m going to get rolling out after this cup of coffee. It is Hump-Day!

Big storms predicted to roll through here this evening so Betty Lou and I plan to get outside and batten down the hatches.I'll get the ATVs and z turn into the Red Shed. That was one of the main reasons for all this work cleaning it out.

Maybe finally get to cut down another dead tree if the ground is dried out enough. Past few days if I'm out walking around doing my poop patrol I gain a few inches in hight and it feels like I've got 10 lb weights strapped around my ankles. There's super sticky clay around here even if wet just a little.

I put the new thermostat in at my house in town, and all is well. Now on a confusing note, when I was there last week the heater and or air would not turn on and the temperature set arrows did nothing, only the thermometer was working, but today as soon as I stepped inside I felt it, it was too warm to not be working.  It was on and set at 65°F, but I swapped out the thermostat with the new one anyway. I don't know why it would just start working when no one was there? It is a simple non-programable digital thermostat.

I don’t know, Dan… sometimes things like that happen that I can’t explain. You just hope there isn’t something else intermittently happening. But if you couldn’t adjust it, makes sense to replace the thermostat.

Good morning GTA! Happy Thursday, second to my favorite weekday! I slept in until 0530 CST. Yesterday turned out to be a pretty good day, I suppose I’ll go into work again. 
Today I need to pickup and deliver a commercial freezer. I’ve got help for that because it’s heavy and we have to put the wheels on it. It’s the same guy I helped yesterday, he’s getting the hang of it here. After that, I need to track down a relay for a 4 door freezer I was on last night. The relay was stuck closed and the compressor was running away.

Once I finish my morning rituals me and the dogs will go out and look for any damage from the storms that rolled through last night. We were smack in the polygon of a tornado but it went just South and East of us so all we got was a good show and lots of rain. I don't even thing winds got above 10 or 25 mph.
However, it brought much cooler temps in behind it. Predicted 57* today and that looks to be the foreseeable future for the next week or so. I can work with that. Much rather than 90's and 100's with insane humidity.
