Well, today marks my 66th year on this rock we live on. No plans for the day and it will be treated like any other holiday... just another day.

I need to work on the truck today.
Never seems to fail that once the snow starts flying... my brakes need changed.
After being an Automotive Tech for the first half of my working life, it's hard to pay someone else to do it.... Plus in all honesty, I don't trust them with my and my family's lives at stake.

So yesterday I picked up front and rear pads, oil, and a filter at the auto-parts store and I'll be rolling around on the cold 25 degree garage floor.
Just waiting for the fog in my head to clear.

Shtuff is so complicated now-a-days.

Mornin y'all. 32 Manatee in the spring bowl this a.m. 48 degrees and overcast, water clarity/visibility is about 50 feet. I'm driving boats today and it should be quite interesting. Now is the time of year to see Manatee here so y'all should come on down! I'll take you for a boat ride!

Good morning All!

Happy birthday Bill!

I am going to get outside and just see what comes up. I do plan to take it easy on my sore muscles that I have from tree trimming this week. I may go for a motorcycle ride on the back roads to San Diego county? It is a little cooler than my wife likes though, so I'll leave it up to her. Maybe for a late lunch?

Getting a ton on Facebook and the funny thing is, I don't even do Facebook. They are all coming through Betty Lou. According to her, I apparently I have a page from many years ago that I don't even have access to. Betty Lou says family and friends are posting to it.

According to my wife I was rude to Google yesterday. I was just trying to be funny when I said "Hey Google are you stupid?" The voice came back saying "I make mistakes sometimes DAN but I learn from them."
It started when we were headed to my grandson and I said I hate a certain road that was on our route and immediately Google re-routed us to avoid it. Then on the way home it routed us on the hated road. Hence the question. LOL

I guess I'll never be somebody.😡 Only google I use is my phone and the only reason I have it is it was a gift.
I use duck duck go. Wife on the other hand uses Google and is always having problems with her phone. Of course she also uses Facebook which doesn't help.

Good morning GTA! Happy Sunday! I’m a day late, Happy Birthday Bill! My iPad battery is shot, I didn’t even get on GTA yesterday. I got IT to send me a new one and a new phone, they should be here tomorrow. I’ve had this iPad and my 7 Plus for many years, I don’t even know how long- only thing IT could tell me was at least 3 years, but I know it’s been probably at least 5 years. I’m only working Monday and Tuesday this week, so I should be able to transfer what I need before I wipe out the old stuff and send them in before the following week. Only thing that’s going to mess me up a bit is that after 11.75 years, I’ll have a new phone number. I’ll still have my contacts though. Used to be when we got a new phone or iPad, the transfer was immediate in order to get the new device up & live. So you’d lose lots of stuff. But, you kept the same phone number.

Today I have Sunday school, Ch**ch and small group this evening. Probably a nap after lunch.

Dunno what we're doing today.

I got a "present" coming (Makita 12" non-sliding compound miter) so I'll be setting that up, but if it is like my last Makita miter saw (10" slider) it should be dead-nuts accurate. Sonja and I will be making a trip to the store for some stuff to add to her home-made chicken soup. I've also been tasked with making my famous pico-de-gallo for family dinner on Turkey-Day. I try to make enough to supply a Mexican restaurant during Cinco de Mayo each batch, but no matter how much I make, there seems to be barely enough for breakfast omelets the next day.

@Bill- belated Happy Birthday. May you have many more with good health and good accuracy

Actually, I have a bunch of computer work to do (installing a slew of MS programs like Visual Studio and SQL) on my PC.

Yes, I have a Salamander and a Propane heater... but the truck is so big I can't shut the door.
It never warmed up yesterday and I just wasn't feeling it.
So this morning I packed up my tools and took it to work and did it in the Maintenance Shop there.
Done by 10:30!

Picked up 14 bags of self leveler at 50 lbs each today.
Still need to finish the prep work in the Den before We mix and pour it all.
Some final caulking to stop any leaking under walls and then several coats of primer have to go down after a good cleaning to do yet.

We ended up grocery shopping. Sonja is making chicken soup, I just wrapped up some efforts on my new PC build, we went on a walk earlier, too.

My Makita isn't showing up today, but that's fine.

I was up at 3:35 AM this morning. Ch**ch 10:00 AM-12:10 PM
Tonight's regular service is canceled because I will be preforming a grandson's wedding and the whole Ch**ch will be there anyway.

I think I need a nap but probably won't get one.

We have a scheduled power outage from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM tomorrow because they are replacing a bunch of poles. $:-\$
