When you are applying for hazmat with dmv, you have to surrender fingerprints electronically now. You put your fingers in a scanner now and it goes to a national data base, it's also a background check at the same time. If it comes back with no issues you can take the test that day. The scanners pick up everything on your fingers even the old faint scars. 

They never finger printed me when I got my class A hazmat but I wasn't going to be hauling explosives. Never did use my class A which I regret.

I mowed the yard today and a cool front is blasting through with gusts up to 50mph.

The rest of the day I'll take it as it come and do it with a smile.

It was in commiefornia but it was back before 9/11 so there is that. After 9/11 there's been a whole lot of new laws and procedures since then.

Plans for me?  Some tool clean-up in the shed packing up toolboxes... On top of tool clean-up in the carport.

Hanging 3 more doors (complete with new jambs) plus putting together a jamb for the hallway opening.  Umm, let's see... Along with the doors I have to build a mantle for our fireplace, then drywall the whole thing.  Sonja will be stripping/prepping our kitchen for paint.  Hopefully a neighbor will be swinging by today or tomorrow to flash our main bathroom window.  I don't have a metal brake and don't have the time.  If I'm feeling really froggy I may do another dump run.

I just got though running my weed wacker in areas that I seldom do out by the road and driveway entrance. I am not sure how long I ran it but I ran the freshly charged 6ah battery dead and used a spool of line. There is more I want to do now. I just came in for water, pain relief, and another battery, water, more water, and water. It already 83°F and with the low humidity would feel great if I wasn't working in the sun. I am feeling blessed that the humidity is so low though! 

Back to it now!

Workday ends in 30 minutes.
At the moment it is sunny, 66 degrees and calm.
 I need to take the trash to the road for pick-up.
 I should spray some weed killer and/ or get the mower prepped.
 I will probably shoot some if it stays like this for a couple more hours.

Firing up the weed Wacker to knock down some grass that is right under some trees so I can't burn it. It'll be the first time this year.

Good Morning, sleep was not a problem for me other than the bad headache at 2 a.m. during the storm. Slept through phone calls and text messages. I guess my house is still in the same place and I do have a roof. The yard might be a different story. Anyway, I am up and take whatever the day throws at me.

Mornin Y'all!  Flytrap ate with gusto this morning so I'm feeling better about her.  Looks like she'll be around a little while longer.  The storm blew through last night so mom and her husband are headed off in their RV for the weekend.  I have to start preparing for the annual Sopchoppy Worm Grunting Festival.  I have to load my 1890's farm wagon on the flatbed and collect up all my turpentine paraphernalia for the turpentine camp.

If ya'll are in the area the Annual Sopchoppy Worm Grunting Festival Happens Saturday April 13 from 9:00 a.m. til we quit.

Looks like it is the end of the line for my wife's retired service dog. She won't eat and if she does she can't keep it down. She's panting a lot so we know she is in pain but can't give her any thing. She's a 10 years old golden retriever so she's 1 of our shorter living dogs. Our last retrieve lived to 15. Of course we're going to have to take her to the vet to put her down. We've only had 1 dog die at home in the 50 or so years we've had dogs. 😥

You have my genuine sympathy Robert.  We are in the same boat.  Fortunately we have Flash and now Belle so when Flytrap does go we will still have a pack of dogs.

Good morning GTA! Happy Friday!!! I didn’t want to get up this morning, but relented at 0525 and started my coffee. I wound up with no work yesterday, maybe they’ll have something for me today. I’m also on-call this weekend. I’ll have to call the office after I visit my chiropractor.

Up at 5am. Put on coffee and took care of the dogs.
Weekend sales start today at the local grocer and Betty Lou has a short list. Wednesday is our bulk store run day so it's just a few things.
Sunny in the low 70s today but it's supposed to be windy so I'm not sure how it will be for shooting but I'll definitely be outside. Average mid to upper 70s and no rain for the next 8 days but we all know how weather predictions go.... hit or miss, kinda like my shooting  .
