Mike , now that you have the big power covered , maybe have that Rainstorm tuned down some for pellet/ light bullet duty. I’ve been having a blast shooting pellets lately at low velocity. Reading the wind and figuring out the drop at different yardages . Fun stuff, only it’s winter time coming in fast and the temps are really playing havoc with bottle pressures , not to mention the effects of the cold on the internals of my scopes. What I really need is to find an indoor range that is within driving distance.

Wish we hand an indoor range close by here as well. Very windy lately.
Wish I had known about the fix for the spring adjuster early on. Cutting a very short piece of weed eater line, (apx. under 1/2" long) and putting it in the screw hole of the locking screw stops thread damage to the adjuster and works fantastic! Doesn't need to be very tight to work. Added bonus!

Yep , the trimmer line trick works very well but unfortunately the damage was already done when I got the rifle. I thought I had the right die for making a new adjuster but ......... nope another oddball . M17x1 , I’ve got one on order and the other oddball size for the sightscrews on the HW line of springers M5x.5 if I’m lucky these will show up before the end of the year. I need to pick up some material from the steel supplier also.

I finally got my die in to make a new adjuster. Unfortunately the threads in the action are too far gone and I’m left with what I have in the first place. But while tinkering I grew the courage to cut down the shroud by almost 4” to bring it flush with the air tank. While I was at it I made an aluminum cover that goes over the plenum and regulator. I took it out for a test run yesterday and with the 18.1 JSB was hitting a 2” spinner out to 50 yards with the cheap red dot (4 MOA) Now for the problem, I let my wife shoot it and she claimed it as hers . Hahahaha. Looks like I’ll be searching for a replacement . I’d love to find one in .25 , but there just aren’t too many of these in Canada , less than 50 I would imagine .

Man! I'm liking that short barrel! Fantastic for woods walking.
Happy, Hopefully, New Year!
