Well so far I really like my DAR .22 and the .25  nothing compares in this price range , and personally I think it's competition is more in the 500 -700 buck range ... I would not want to miss  out on this 1 for what you get quality is really good ...

I'm going to use the Centerpoint scope that I have on my Avenger for my DAR .25, first I'll try adjusting the DAR for more shots than just 10 because out of the box it's going from 3K down to 2K then drops and I must say it's gotta be the hammer is adjusted way to tight, even when cocking the gun it seems to be awfully tight. That Avenger is Deja Vu of how my Liberty was before I put a peek poppet in it, I just checked it again and there's zero pressure in it.  I'll be putting the Avenger to rest until I get a good PEEK poppet for it.  The DAR is holding pressure great though and it does look promising. 

I'm also thinking about taking one of the stocks from one of my Gen1 DAR's and put a tougher finish on it because I find the finish on the DAR's to be the weakest point now for hunting purposes, they seem to be a very fragile finish.

The Dar has a short lever in .22 its not very hard to cock ..... The  .25 has a stiffer spring so it is a bit harder to cock the gun .. I am getting 860 fps so far with the hunter 26g  very accurate so far I was thinking about adding a little more hammer to mine after I put another 100 shots threw it ... CP 3x12x44 work's great on my .25 ...

Wayne shoot some of that minwax helmsman spar urethane satin or gloss you will be ready  to go just light sand in between coats and your good , and let it cure for a couple days ..

I figure the regulator on mine is set around 2100 psi, I'm getting well over 900fps but I think it' wasting a lot of air the way it is.

yeah it sounds like you are right... back the spring off a bit ,and see what you get ...

I ordered a NOE 217-20-RF-CE6 4 Cavity HB  hunter to use for this .22 DAR gun to start off with I figure , and I added NOE 300-46-RF-CC4 2 Cavity RG2 HB hunter to that order for my .30 carnivore ... , after that I hoped on rotometals  , and have a 60lbs chunk of lead on the way .... I also have 2 other new molds for the XP .40 badger ,and the Ranger .45 ... so I will be at the casting table again real soon for a couple of day's and get some of this new stuff casted up in stock ...

Pulled the trigger on the .22 DAR today , before the weather rained me out , at 50 yards  I shot these 3 shot groups on these 4 top upper circles about dime size or less ,several hole threw hole shots , and 2 that I pulled to the left my fault , but  it just amazes me just how well this gun shoots the cheap crosman 14.3 hollow point pellets , the cheap ones that you can get at walmart ,or from crosman ...

usually they shoot pretty accurate with a few flyers ,out of most the guns I have shot them out of ... not in my Dar they are really crazy accurate very consistent.. compared to shooting those out of other guns  .. tomorrow if I get a chance I will try some H&N baracuda's  21.14 g and see what happens ...

50 yards , I wish I could of shot a lot more but the good ol down poor rain stopped that ,....  you are going to really like this gun if it shoot's like mine does,  and I bet it will ...  ... the magazines are fantastic ... The side lever works pretty easy smooth on the .22 ,  its a lot more stiff on the .25 ,and the trigger is a heavier  pull also on the .25  ...

I have a new pellet to shoot out of the DAR NOE 20 HUNTER . .. my mold came in , so I got it prepped and did some casting with it I used 7 lbs of lead or so  I think , and casted a nice chunk of pellets ..

also received some lead from roto-metals around 60 lbs  so I wont run out for a while ... 

ended up with over filled 3 tins , of selected pellets that I cast , the rest get melted back down again ,  so not to bad for 1st run with this new mold ...

IT IS A VARY BLACK ART !     so i became a black artist caster ! with a degree in witchcraft !       .... JK !    .... No ...  about 10 years ago when I bought my Ranger .45  Roachcreek = Charlie bought a Xp  Ranger .45 also we had threads on the Talon forum back at that time , we were on a waiting list for a few month's so we started conversing on these thread's about how we were going to feed the 3 power setting ranger gun especially back at that point you really needed to be into casting if you want to take advantage of how many bullets at 3 different powers that  you can shoot out of the ranger ,... there was not much for sale at that point of what was really needed , 

So at that point casting was a BIG BLACK ART to myself other than casting some round ball for a black powder gun with a friend ...

Very lucky for me Roachcreek  Charlie was a 1000 yard shooting champion of Oregon , and had a vast knowledge  of casting , and sizing , bullet designs that he had tested many times over , also the best tested Elk killing bullets  Charlie's  has over 50 large Elk kills ...  ... so Charlie  taught myself , and actually Knifemaker =  Mike   at that time all the little tricks of this black casting art that Charlie had a ton of experience at ,and both Mike and I were very lucky to have 1 of the best ever when it comes to guns teach us ...

 he had Tom of accurate molds make a few custom molds for Elk Killer bullets , and those turned out to be fantastic once sized to your  barrel , I now have a small line up of molds for the .45 Ranger ,and  .40 badger , and new pellet molds now ...

Now days there is a lot more available in slugs , and there is also a lot more available in mold's  like the new NOE pellet mold for the .22  casting is the way to go ,  you just have to buy the small list of equipment to get started its not really  that hard once you jump your feet in and get used to it ....    and its awesome to just cast your own , and not have to wait for availability , and shipping  ...      plus $$$

I imaged it was was going to take a long time but 20 minutes doesn't seem bad at all.  I didn't think there was an area for this subject in GTA since I haven't come across any mention of it....another bookmark for sure.  Thanks.

I hear so much about NOE molding from Wayne's Sentry thread and went to NOE's website and that was a confusing mess.  NOE really need to package a starter kit with all the basic equipment and that would be selling like hot cake...maybe   I will definitely check out your link and try to learn more about this subject.  Thanks.
