How does the brake attach to the barrel without any grub screw? Is it glued on, or just a slip fit?

...no set screws on the original brake, but of course they could be tapped/threaded like on the Beeman muzzle brake?

I picture would be helpful - is this a sort of rough-finished dark anodized aluminum muzzle break that is "open" where you can see the barrel through cut-outs in the brake? I had one of these on one of my 124's and was told it was the original FWB brake. If so, it is a friction fit and miraculously came off with no marks on the barrel. I heated it gently with a torch (not very close - I hair dryer might work too) and then grabbed it with a gloved hand and pulled - off it came. I'd post a pic but can't find it right now!

Yes, that's exactly what I have, and seems to be the type used on older FWB 124 (San Anselmo Beeman). It's stamped "Dianawerk/Rastatt, is a slip fit, does have open slots, and I took Frank's advice with small drop JB weld. I'd suspect the epoxy isn't even necessary. The open slots make me wonder if it's an AG version of a muzzle brake as from a tank/artillery cannon?
