its been a very busy year for bandits and other feed stealing critters(chipmunks).these bandits were taken off the deer feeder within the pen from 36-40 yards,they dig out 50lbs($15.00 per 50lbs)of deer feed onto the ground wasting much if not all feed in the feeder....ODNR stated no time to dispatch or relocate these animals.this is the norm for any given night......25 streamline shooting 33.9 jsb pellets.

They do like a free meal. I asked ODNR about a life trapped raccoon (in town) and was told that they can be handled one of two ways. They can be released or killed, but they can not be moved to any other location due to the possibility of spreading any type of disease.

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN;i have a working farm that raises whitetail deer.i am protecting the health of my animals within the 8 foot high fence.i am protecting my investment in feed.in no way shape or form would I take an animal out of season...thank you.

Nice work! Coons are an ongoing problem where I work. About ten years ago the State had a bad infestation at Myakka River State Park. They brought in the FWC trappers. The 350 acre park is surrounded by subdivisions. The first week the trapper removed over 250 coons. The next week over 200. After a month of trapping they were still getting 100-150 per week. The head trapper told me that we could keep it up indefinitely. The coons were well adapted to living in suburbia and as soon as we removed one coon from the park, two more came in from the surrounding burbs, lured by the easy pickings in our campgrounds and picnic areas.

Nice job Mark. Are you selling the skins to anyone? I was lucky to be able to sell the skins to a trapper a few years ago when I used to have a lot of bandits around. It seems their numbers have not been able to recover since the Condor .25 unleashed 31gr and 43gr pellets on them with 70-80 FPE for 3 years in a row.

Very good shooting! We had to come inside from the firepit early tonight because a mama coon and her 3 cubs wouldn't leave us alone. Her growling freaked my wife out and she was afraid of being bitten.

Last time I checked it was illegal to sell the skins under Ohio Laws on taking out pests.
Now I believe if you have a Licence for trapping or are registered with the State as a Pest remover you can.
Will probably have all my Ohio Licenses in a few weeks so will know for sure then.

Last I heard hides do not make it wort the effort , unless one is home handy , or knows some one who can mak into a product as a favor .

Years ago, I used to have problems with raccoons too... but they......sorta...went away.

the hides would not be prime and not any good for much.i have taken well over 75 bandits in the past 4-5 weeks,up to 7-8 on some nights.i really don't favor dispatching so many animals but they eat all the good stuff out of the deer feed and leave their bad stuff in the feeder.started to feed in the morning but the deer doesn't eat until just before dark most days.
the bandits have discovered a world of hurt is coming down when they see the red light and run off.i did switch up to green light but after a few nights they got hip to that also.i took last two nights off but will be at it tonight...the streamline has been up to the task shooting very well,the 33.9 jsb pellets also do the job shooting at 960 fps.
i am a squirrel hunter first and love to eat all the ones i kill.i have also dispatched many chipmunks(well over 50)and have not seen any around the feeder or the yard for some time now...

Mark, more great shooting! Maybe you could mount a red solar flood light facing the feeder to dissuade the bandits?...or just keep whacking them!
