Yet another inexpensive project rifle

Received this the other day. Yet another inexpensive rifle to play with and tinker $85 I love project rifles., Opening the box I was surprised to see the nice stock I'm lucky. The rifle is very well built for a $100 entry level gun. Cleand the barrel and pushed a pellet thru. The barrel on this rifle has no choke, the pellet fix sung all the way. Then went out and fired ten shots. The safety is manual so watch the fingers. It's a little crunchy but all but two filyers in the 2 center rings at 10yds with open sights. Didn't chronograph but it seems to have decent power in the .22
This weekend the rifle will be disassembled debured and tuned. The trigger a typical Crosman but it has a nice predictable break. I may work on it but it will probably get better just by shooting it. the trigger will be inspected and get a lube for sure.
I will also be doing video on soft bedding on this rifle. I soft bed all my wood stocked break barrels. And a few for friends that have become believers in the difference it makes.
Will post the bedding video when completed.

Nice choice for working over. My first springer was a .22 Optimus. It took 1200-ish shots to smooth out, but the gun, now several owners later, is a 30yard squirrel-killing machine. I didn't enjoy shooting the gun; never did figure out what it was I didn't like about it even after it smoothed out. However, everybody else who has shot it loved it.

I've got two old pawn shop Crosman Storms. About the same gun as an Optimus. One is in a Benjamin T.H. stock and both have GRT triggers. Great shooters.
