No, it the real deal.
Picked it up at auction
Something about resizing the picture to the specs GTA requires, changes the aspect ration and shrunk it. Look honey, I shrunk the Sheridan.

Great-looking rifle Chris! That late HW 55 stock design is very interesting. It seems to combine certain elements from both the HW 55S and HW 55M models of earlier days, along with a few nice new touches of its own.

Tested a few pellets in the Sears, Roebuck & Co/Daisy 880 from 1973. Tested four different pellets from 7.1gr to 10.5 & got'em all in the 1" bullseye across the room. Ilegal to shoot outside around her and basement cluttered & cold. This rifle is alarmingly quiet, or it's starting to need seals? Nice light weight on the trigger pull too!

This here little classic collector's nightmare:
+ FWB 300S Junior (aka "Mini") action.
+ Rare FWB 300SL stock. Bought off the interwebs as a stripped beater, beautifully re-finished by Doug Phillips.
+ Cheapie Tasco "Bantam" shotgun scope. 2.5x, no AO.
+ Even more cheapie Bushnell 2-piece vertically-split mounts. They work great as far as I can tell.

Laugh if ya want, but a half-blind old guy can use it to stack JSB 7.9 Exacts at 20 yards when he's paying attention.

Chris, the darn little rifle does have an eerie habit of shooting exactly where I point it!

I shot this target yesterday - 5 JSB Match 8.0 flatheads at 20 yards, off a rest. About 9mm CTC...or just 6mm if you spot an old guy the flyer, LOL. JSB's certainly seem to sing in this gun, I can't duplicate this with anything else.

I may be forced to blow the dust off my 6x AO Burris and see what this thing will really do.

Repaired a Benjamin Franklin Tootsie roll yesterday. Shooting pretty hard on six pumps. Wondering if that is the limit or can they take more?
