Hard not to make it a carbine of sorts, cool tank cover/butstock, I have something similar I may see if it can be modded to fit my tank on my Escape ULx

I was going back and forth about how to get the most use from this gun- I am going to use it as a Dispatch gun of course, but I also know a TalonP's capability- I eliminated (at least for now) the woodchuck threat around my house, and it was always out at the 45 yard line. So it seemed kind of a waste to not try to have a secondary configuration for it.

It didn't seem to make much sense (after thinking it over), after putting in so much work on this grip to then make a "stock" for it, and mothball or sell the grip... I LOVE this grip- not just because I made it, but it really does improve how this gun feels overall. I kinda wish AF would offer something like this either as an option, or as an accessory or some-such. Especially with the TalonP.

The PC-7 needs another day to fully cure (48 hours), but it's cured enough to allow me to check the fit w/the stock... I'm pleased to announce that I did NOT make a horrifying mistake gluing the aluminium rail into place!

The gauge and fill nipple is a touch off, but I'm not worried about that. Okay, so NOW this build is done! I've got a great grip, and an arm brace for dispatching, but also a stock if I need to go longer range. All that needs to be done now, is to get some high enough rings (or use a raised scope base... ehhh) to clear a pistol scope. But for use as a dispatching gun, this build is complete!! I'll post a picture tomorrow with it all together. MAYBE I'll paint it.

I can't leave well enough alone!

I spray bombed it. I wanted to throw on some OD green like my old TalonP. NOW it's done! I'll add a pistol scope later... But for now it's done. 30" OAL w/o the added LDC. 39" with. So I completely failed at making a significantly smaller dispatch gun

*sigh*

I mean, it IS shorter than my Condor, and it's certainly handier... That stock when fully collapsed, does feel really good when it's bracing against my forearm. I mean, overall it's not a failure of a project. It's just not exactly what I want either... I'll just have to make something else in the future. Sure was a fun ride though!!

I have one of these https://airgunarcheryfun.ca/spa-pp800-rebel-pcp-pistol-25-caliber/ It has good energy stock @ 500 FPS, with 25.xx gr. AA pellets, but one of these days I'm going to up that a smidge.

I'm re-visiting this build... Some small changes... So a little while ago I got my hands on a .30 FX ST barrel from AoA. I was going to use it in another project, but that one has gone off on a wild tangent and will need a longer barrel. At the very least, that project will need the ability to shoot both pellets and slugs. Anyway- I digress... So a WHILE back, I was planning on building a "bullpup" .30 Condor. Well, that turned back into a normal Condor. I still have the "bullpup" kit. Obviously, the TalonSS frame is longer than a Talon/P frame... Which means the barrel can be longer. So why not just take this EscapeSS a step further and convert it to .30? I think I will. I'll keep y'all posted.

Okay, this gun will be down for a little while.

Pellets only, it'll be using the FX Smooth Twist barrel I got from AoA. Thankfully the barrel does fit. I was worried about the O.D. of the barrel and the I.D. of the AF parts, since the FX barrel is larger than a factory AF barrel. I will need new bushings made, and of course the breech end of the barrel will need to machined. I have a Talon Tunes .30 top hat inbound. This is the "bullpup" kit I bought a while back, specifically for a .30 "TalonP" build. In fact, the collapsible stock I just installed was originally for the .30 "Condor Bullpup" build. The bullpup kit sets the TalonP tank back, and makes this a side cocker. I'm not sure, but I don't think these kits are available anymore.

OAL of the gun is slightly over 34". That's w/the stock on and fully collapsed. Which fits me perfectly. The barrel will be a little over 21"- rough estimate. MAYBE 22". So I get to use nearly the entire length of this 600mm barrel! I'll be getting rid of the Sound-Loc baffles too. I'll need to get a new LDC though. Still worth the change.

The other good thing about this bullpup kit, is that it allows for quick removal of the tank. Since there's no rails in the way of the gauge and fill nipple, I can easily remove the tank if I wish. With the tank removed, the OAL is a hair under 24". Very cool! I'm seeing a padded carrying case with custom cut foam in this gun's future!! I might be selling my .30 Condor soon!!

I'm starting on the new "stock" for this gun. It'll be similar to the one I made for the Condor, but there will be some slight changes.

I've got the KRG grips on order
I've got some PVA mold release on order
I'll pick up some Preval sprayers from Homer

I'm getting excited about this stock build!! I'm going to attack this build a little differently. More work perhaps, but if what I have in my head works out (I think it will), it'll produce a better result. I had so many issues last time because I made the inlet too deep, got frustrated, rushed. This time though, I'm going to go about it with slightly more educated eyes. A little more calm. A better plan. Here's to hoping it comes out well!!

Okay, slight change. Jeeze, I really like going round and around, don't I?!

I'm just going to use the .30 parts I've got. I'm still going to build the bullpup. However! There's a slight problem. I was tinkering and I found that the bolt isn't true. That's why I was having issues before. It didn't look like the frame extension was off center. I was just eye-balling of course, but months ago, when I tried to assemble this bullpup kit the first time, something was up. I couldn't figure it out. Now I have. Anyhoo, I chucked up the extended bolt in the lathe. The delrin bolt extension seems fine. Then I flipped it around to check the breech end. Wobble. Not a huge amount, but enough to where things don't line up as they should. I'm going to have to make (well, have made at this point) a new bolt. Okay... I'll focus on my 6mm and finishing the stock of "Fat and Slow", then I'll come back to this. I WILL have a bullpup .30 EscapeSS...

Oohhh, yeah- this extended breech is right knackered. I'm going to have to have a new one made... No biggie I guess? At least the main part, the frame extension, isn't bad. I'll keep y'all posted.

I've got the Frame, barrel, breech parts and the parts for a custom breech knob that's been on my mind for YEARS, in the mail headed to the machinist.

I've also got my PVA release agent and fumed silica in the mail today as well. Now I just need to get the Preval sprayer stuff, and I'll have all the material to begin the new stock.

I got my Preval sprayer today, in addition to my .30 top hat from Talon Tunes... Nice! I've been working on some stocks, but the final coat of color went on the last stock so after this, I'm free to work on the new stock for this project...

I'm still waiting on the KRG grip panels, but they should be here next week.

No update, just a random thought- Why the frak does AF only offer their frames in black blue and red?! I get the black color... But why not an OD green? Or an FDE? I'm not saying don't offer red and blue, but why just those 3 colors? It strikes me as odd... Another option would be offering hydrodipping camo patterns. I dunno, seems like a smart path to go.

Hmm I have some wood grain hydro dip, was planning on using it on a plastic stock, wonder how a wooden Escape would look
