Advice on a Long Range 70-120 yards Rifle

Hello all! I just happened to come across this LR forum.
I'm fairly new to the PCP camp and own a .177 Daystate Regal Huntsman XL HR. It is incredibly accurate out to 70 yards.
My range features targets at 30, 40, 50, 70, 80, 90, 100, and 120 yards. I am able to hit a 3" target about 50% of the time at 120 yards providing it is relatively quiet out.
Looking to buy a new rifle that will do a much better job than my .177 Regal does at the longer targets. Pretty much decided that a .22 is what i want.
I can buy the same Regal XL in .22 but not sure if the larger caliber will be a game changer or do I also need a more powerful rifle?
The FX Dreamline caught my eye as I love traditional looking rifles in natural wood (old guy). Not sure if the Dream is what I should be looking at? Also wondering if the FX Crown has more punch or FPS than the Dream does?
Open to suggestions as to what might work best.
I know nothing about slugs, and unfortunately there aren't any air gun shops within a couple hundred miles of me. So with the worlds current virus driving about isn't much of an option.
I'm a bench target shooter, no game as a rule. Budget could be in the $2000 range for the rifle itself but if I can get it done for less, awesome, but not looking forward to a disappointment.
Thanks in advance.

Dave, I think you will have better groups at the hundred mark with a .22 cal.
I've been shooting PCP's steady since 2014 and I've noticed tighter groups at the 100 mark as I increase in caliber and power.
I've shot my best 100 yd groups with my .30 cal FX Boss, followed by my .25 cal FX500, followed by my .22 Cal Cricket.
I haven't even bothered to try it at 100 yards with .177 as my Field Target scope on my Thomas maxes out about 60yds.
I would imagine your .177 Daystate is shooting at or less than 20 foot pounds. I think the .22 model would be pushing closer to 30 foot pounds so it should buck the wind a little better.
Don't think you can go wrong with the Daystate or the FX. Both fine guns in .22 cal. I think I would chose the FX Dreamline or Crown over the Daystate if we were talking .25 cal

Dave, Jimmy
There is a recent post on AGN about a member shooting his Crown Continuum .22 700mm at 100 yards. Take a look and check out his groups at 100 yards.

Dave
Check out Steve’s recent AEAC review on the Continuum. FX provides more user adjustable flexibility and options than Daystate, but both the Wolverine and Continuum would be really nice BR guns.
My car analogy, since I like 60’s muscle cars.
Do I want a 1967’ SS Chevelle 396 cu in or a 67 Pontiac GTO 389; both with all the bells and whistles? If I had the $$$, I would be happy with either car!
Check out all the YouTube videos as well.
Best of luck!

Hi Dave,
I have been a fan of RAW's older walnut offerings. If you are interested in a walnut HM1000X LRT in .22 the folks at SPAW have one. He's supposed to be a good tuner so there may be some tuning options at purchase. These pre-AirForce rifles are keepers so it's rare to find them for sale these days.
