Bear in mind I was shooting the JSB heavy 15.89gr and they were the only ones chronied but I got a 631fps 10 shot average for a touch over 14 fpe. The fps numbers would/should be higher with lighter weight pellets.
Anyone have a guess as to the velocity difference between a HW95 and a HW50 both in .20 and stock form?

Hey John,Not to second guess you, but that seems awful high for an OEM HW98/95/R9 -> were talking 18.4 FPE out-of-the-box (JSB 13.73). That would even be on the high side for H&N 11.42's -> 15.3 FPE.
Kirk, all the lube on top of the piston seal from the factory will cause false number out of the box until it burns off! and by then the seal will be cooked! this why these rifles should be test fired only and taken apart and cleaned out a lubed properly
Is it possible to switch barrels between an R7 .20 and a R50S .177?
Kirk, if ur getting dieseling after u cleaned it all up for a few shots its probably the cleaner or solvent u used to clean it with, sometimes they can leave a film or residue behind, heating it up with the piston friction will cause it to burn off, due to a low flash point of the solvent or cleaner, to much molly on ur piston seal will cause the same thing
